When not at work I've got my other wallet (a smaller version I just put cash and the one or two cards I use most often into), my car keys, and my cell phone (which I usually leave in the car - much to my wife's annoyance).

I own make up and put it on maybe once a year. Probably less frequently then that. Actually, the last time I wore make up was for my wedding 13 months ago... Purse wise. I have a small purse that fits my wallet, cell phone, and keys that I carry to work during the summer. In the winter my wallet, cell phone, and keys can be found in my coat pocket. If I am bringing lunch to work, my wallet, cell phone, and keys will be found in the lunch bag. If I am travelling I'll carry a smaller day pack back pack. It is light weight, I can toss in a water bladder (yes, I carry a water bladder with me in the bag), and it fits my DXG. This is for use on the plane and normally is stashed in the overhead bin. I have a nice travel bag that is big enough to fit my netbook, K1, PSP, some snacks, glasses in their case, wallet, cell phone, keys, and Bose head set. This sits on the floor with me since it has all of my plane needs and takes up little space. I need to see if it will fit the DX when I take out the netbook. http://www.pacsafe.com/www/index.php...=detail&id=136 I like the anti-theft components. I can't believe you go through bags in 9 months. Because I have at least 20 bags, I had to get better storage to organize my bags. I have bags that are 10 years old. I keep a bunch of different colors and sizes and switch them out as needed.

They are h-u-g-e. By the time I have put in Kindle, iPhone, big money purse, spare make-up purse, perfume, notebook and pen and other 'goodies', only then do I feel set to go. I have got into the habit of putting at least the minimum of make-up on at home, and all my warpaint when going out. Old habits die hard. Cheers. |

My most used one is a small backpack which I picked up one day at a bargain counter, it holds 2 sets glasses, purse, phone, makeup repair kit, Kobo, diary (HATE electronic diaries!), keys, pens, sometimes a small bottle of water as it gets very hot here. If I leave any of this stuff at home you can guarantee that as soon as I get where I am going I'll need it.

Every year or so, I try to make do with a small bag, but it usually ends up so stuffed that I move back to the larger size. Let's see, contents of purse: Kindle2 in case, cell phone, package of crackers (see note beloe), package of goldfish (I knew I would be working late today so wanted to be prepared), ipod, camera, small wallet, small notebook, a few pens, checkbook, fold up hairbrush, advil bottle, small lint roller, small hand lotion, nail file in case, small hand sanitizer, small zippered pouch with small essentials, sunglasses, compact, various lipsticks and glosses, random receipts, several dollar bills, dog brush (bought last week and never taken out). Usually, I also have a magazine or binder thrown in. I've tried to pare down but I can't! I'm attached to my stuff. |

I currently have two daily use bags - a messenger bag/satchel type - it takes my ipad, make up and first aid type stuff, purse, keys, phone, torch, knife and bright pink case that houses an odd-looking funnel-and-tube contraption - it makes splashback in some situations less problematic ) The other is a small rucksack which I carry if I know I'm going to bringing stuff home with me. Or my shoulder's playing up. Or I'm going walking for a day. |

I have just emailed my friend who is in London this week. We often do long car trips in remote Oz, where there are no loos, or worse the filthy loo at Mataranka! yuk! Or the public loos in Katherine. To think no more standing on the seat. I wonder if she will find some..

You could save some money and valuable purse space if you ladies simply used your purses as emergency loos. You usually carry enough perfume to deodorize New Jersey, so the smell shouldn't be a problem. |

They are actually issued to some women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. A couple of women who drove trucks in convoys brought them with them from home. When the Commanding Officer saw how much easier it was for the women to go to the bathroom when outside the base walls, he had them ordered so that he could give one to each of the women in his battalion.
