To be honest, I don't know how the sarcasm could have been any more obvious, with out the poster going "THIS IS A JOKE!"

Just FYI for anyone who hasn't heard already. But due to a recent court case that went all the way to the supreme court, you now have the complete and legal right to strip DRM from anything you own. The kicker part of the decision is that it's still illegal to won the tools to do so. But I figure with the way that DRM's house of cards is falling apart like it is, that should come along soon.

No Catlady, the point isn't why you shouldn't do it that way; the point was there is nothing inherently wrong with (in this analogy) ordering in French if it makes sense to do so in that setting (or in say Chinese in an authentic Chinese restaurant, etc) and in some circumstances far more natural and intuitive. What I am saying is people that can pop open a window and talk to a computer in its own language are not the odd ones here...

The problem is, sarcasm is difficult to convey in text unless you know the personality of the author.

That's why I do it the most simple way and just type in the simple command that does all the searching, downloading and installing for me.

But, back to being dense, does 'put the python scripts with the calibre plug-ins' mean to put them into the calibre folder?

I haven't used the plugins or scripts in question myself, but if the howto says to install the scripts as Calibre plugins, this has a short note on how to do it.

In Calibre

Click Peferences
Click Plug-ins

Now in Calibre there are all sorts of plug-ins. Say For instance

File Type Plug-ins

So for instance, if you were installing a *certain type* of Plug-ins you might want to highlight

File Type Plug-ins

Then down the screen a bit at the bottom where it says Plug-In file you'd want to browse to where a certain Plug-In zip file would be stored on your computer and then click "Add"in Calibre.

Then, if your Plug-In came with any further directions, like how to Customize the Plug-In ---- those would probably be contained in a txt File called "ReadMe*XXXX" that you could open up to see how to make the Plug-In work for you specifically.
