But I hold and use it in my LEFT hand. There are several things like cutting cards some macramé knots and reading books (both digital and paper in my left hand). If you want lefties only put it in the title.

I'm so left handed, my family finally gave up and started leaving and using the mouse on the left hand side......I can't make it 'work' on the right side....

Wonder why it is when typing, I haven't noticed any problem with my right hand?

I am left-handed, but have no problems with the Kindle. I guess, in a way, I have become more ambidextrous as time goes on. I use my computer mouse on the right, and also operate the touch pad on my laptop with my right hand. I do lots of other tasks right-handed also. My only gripe as a lefty is the darn metal rings or spirals in notebooks and planners!

Remember the desks in school?

They were for right handed people only....it was a pain trying to write on them!

I do the exact opposite and I do have to say that using my Kindle DX while eating is a pain with buttons on only one side

You do realize that you can rotate the DX so that the buttons are on the other side. I do this all the time.

I think this post proves that many lefties can use the Kindle very well but I do sympathize that, for the OP, being a left-hander caused such an issue with using the Kindle that it had to be taken back. I hope you find something which works for you OP.

Luckily I'm ambidextrous (from a leftie family but forced to write with my right hand at school) and can hold the Kindle in either hand. The positioning of the 5-way controller is a little awkward when holding the Kindle in my left hand but once reading a book, I'm mostly just using the page turn buttons which are easy for either hand.

Left handed with a K3 here. No problems. I don't use the toggle much so it's not really an issue. Then again, I played guitar for 17 years and since I played lefty guitars my right hand was my fretting hand (odd, I know) so it did the really intricate stuff, and as I shoot with DSLR's my right hand does the shutter firing. Maybe those two things help even though I truly am left hand dominant.

She said they didn't know when or how many, but the next truck comes on Wednesday and there "might" be some on it. Great way to run a business...
I was in Staples today and they had K3s in stock.

Hi,

I'm a lefty myself. I like that the page turner buttons on the K3 are on both sides, tho I hold it most of the time in my left hand, when i get tired, my other can always take over. With so many choices lately i'm sure you'll find one you'll enjoy. I also found that computer keyboard is predominantly lefty cos all the most used letters are on your left. Who'd a thunk it?

I'm right handed (probably forced in my early childhood), but I find I can do most things with either hand...

I would always write with my right hand, but change the pen to the left to rule a line... I eat with my right hand, which means the knife is in my left...

When I played Tennis I would use whichever hand were closest to the ball, but always serve with my right hand.

Opening jars I use my left (it's stronger)

I think most people with a very dominant right/left hand are able to use the other one to some extent -- unless it's not there, of course... When you wash/dry yourself you use both hands, driving - both hands, typing - both hands etc etc.

Most people have some dexterity in their non-dominant hand.

You took you kindle back on or before 23/9 and bought a Nook... Why this post more than a month later?

I think this discussion is a little absurd. I'm a lefty and do things left-handed whenever possible. However, we live in a right-handed world and need to adapt.
