When I click on a link on the regular Google Reader for smartphones from the Kindle, I get a message saying I can't open links in new windows. What happens when I click on a link from your web app in the Kindle?

It should open successfully, unless the RSS feed is forcing new windows. If that is the case, let me know what the feed is, and I can custom code to remove new window requests.

Thanks, it works perfectly! It reads so much better than Google Reader Mobile for smartphones.

I'm curious if there are any plans to release the source of G:RSS-Web, or if it is already open source?

A touch off-topic Fmstrat, but I thought I'd try G:RSS-Web on WP7 (I'm currently using Flux), but couldn't find it. What search term should I use in the marketplace?

Unfortunately, I haven't had the time I would have liked to get G:RSS up for WP7. All development is done, just finalizing some testing. My goal was to release prior to Thanksgiving, but it looks like I'll be submitting to the Market before the weekend is over.

Cool. Definitely look at Flux before you release. It's a nice app. The only problem with it at this point is it's very slow on startup (while it's grabbing the feed contents.) If you can solve that problem, you should have a hit!

Will do. G:RSS should be very fast at start-up, since I'm only grabbing the feed list and unread counts at start, not the entire contents. Should be out soon, I'm waiting on my code obfuscation tool to come in since that nasty problem came out where anyone can download and decompile WP7 source code from the market.

I can't help but feel so differently about this, but to each his own.

This is a quality peace of software, regardless!
