Calibre plugin - Copy book covers to use as Standby images (PRS600/x50) - Page 3

I had totally forgotten about this. I just set it up today and IT ROCKS!!! Thanks so much!

It is working great on Mac. Such a smart, simple idea to just use the same image name.

Thanks for this plugin, it works great here (Win7, PRS-650).
Too bad it's not implemented natively in our readers but hey, this is good enough for me

Just a note to let you know that I have upgraded this Calibre plugin.

Added the ability to copy multiple covers (max 15)
Added support for Kindle 2/3/3G/DX if Kindle "jailbreak" and "screensaver" mods have been applied.

...I guess the second item may not be of much interest to readers of this forum

If there are any problems after upgrade, please post in the main thread in the Calibre sub-forum.

I have to take the opportunity to sing the praises of this plug-in, I have been using it for a few months now. It is the best! I feel that my reader is more "book-like" now that it is showing the cover of the book I'm reading. At first, I thought I would miss the family pictures I had loaded and I was rotating between family pictures and the current book cover. But now I have abandoned my family in favor of the book cover. I don't miss them.

Just a note to let you know that I have upgraded this Calibre plugin.

Added support for Sony PRS-600, if PRSPlus custom firmware (with wallpaper directory) installed.
Increased maximum covers to 99.
Added extra option to add new covers to those already on the device.
Added new menu utility to clear all cover images.

If there are any problems after upgrade, please post in the main thread in the Calibre sub-forum.

Hi Jackie,

I tried using the plugin with Pocketbook Ultra. It's a odd case tho, because the device itself allows to grab covers from last book open, but there are stand-by images that are supposed to be changeable, but don't seem to change or read files as advertised.
