Preparing for a probably not too busy morning of work. It's drizzly so I'm not expecting it be busy. OTOH it is our last week and yesterday morning it was busier than normal. I spend all morning talking about the closure and I'm more than fed up with it, especially those that get angry/upset with me for not continuing. But it's just a couple of more days.

After work I'm going to pick up my bike from the repair shop. I had a punctured tire and it turned out that the spokes I've had replace before weren't put in right, so I had those replace/put in properly as well; with my weight and the uneven paving in the city center I don't want a weakened wheel. I'm looking forward to buying a really good bike next year.

took walk very early whilst temp is 77 F, but humidity > 90% => now feel like a damp wash cloth - sucked the energy right out of me

Sunday morning, so I'm getting ready to do my chores. I've already put the first load of laundry in the dryer and a second load in the washing machine.

I also have to change my bicycle bell to one which can hold an Airtag.

I'm meeting my sister at 1 pm at her place and we're going to book our September vacation. At 3 pm we've booked a high tea at a local cherry orchard, which I'm really looking forward to.

But now I have a little while to procrastinate, so I will.

Got in from a walk just as it started to rain. A swim and another walk outside seem problematic, but I plan to get to the pool if/when it opens and keep my fingers crossed.

Sigh. A good day for indoor chores, except that I don't feel like it.

Too stinking hot to walk safely outside, so dusting off the stationary bike - boring - but my walk this morning at 10 am made me heat sick - can't tolerate high humidity on top of high temps ... sigh ...

The heat index was 90 when I left the house at 6:30a to drive across a few counties to go to court!

Just doing a quick weekly battery check on the e-readers and the rechargeable reading lights on the off chance the promised storms arrive.

Scanning a couple of cross stitch patterns and properly organizing my cross stitch pattern folder (each project its own folder).

I still have to more patterns to scan in, but they are bigger than A3, so I'll have to go to the print shop that can scan up to A0.

Especially with those big printed patterns it's just easier to scan them and load them into my mark up app than faffing around with a magnet board and highlighters and having to search for symbols yourself.

It's the second week after the store's closed. I'm getting used to working from Monday to Friday instead of Tuesday to Saturday. To me today feels like a Tuesday.

This morning I'm probably on my own. My father is taking my mother to the hospital for her annual check up. And I expect he won't come downstairs to help after he gets back.

After the temperatures of the last couple of days I expect it to be very warm downstairs, so I'm going to take it easy. Last week I found out there's no use in overdoing it.

Looking at a cross stitch kit I really want; Gamer Nouveau. But it's so expensive because they only sell it as a complete kit, not as just a pattern. Since the company is based in the UK it also means I have to pay import duties.

I've also never stitched on Evenweave fabric and on such a small count (25 or 28 crosses per inch). So I'll have to find a smaller kit to see if I like doing that.
