I believe all of the stories in that book are in the public domain. You can read them on your own, and make your own ebook. Of course, you'll be missing the introduction by the "editor".

Not really of interest to me since I already have those 3 books but haven't seen 4 & 5 on sale. Though #5 Ice Falcon's Quest would have to drop a lot to tempt me -- $21.99 Cdn is well above what I will pay for an ebook.

Although it's not really sci-fi/fantasy, Crichton has some bleed over, so I figured I'd mention that Airframe is on sale at Amazon for $2.99. I haven't read it since I got it back in 1996, but I remember it being good.

The Black Elfstone by Terry Brooks is $1.99 at Amazon US. It is book... 30-something in the never-ending Shanarra cashcow. The first in a (surprise) series called The Fall of Shannara.

Moonseed by Stephen Baxter is $3.99 at Amazon US. This is billed as the third in the NASA trilogy. But the books (Voyage, Titan and Moonseed) are all unrelated stand-alones with different characters and different realities. The only link they have is they deal with themes of space exploration.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by “given what we know about MZB”?

I apologize if I implicitly stated that the books were from her, there are maybe a few stories from her in these books. Nonetheless they may make a nice reading for somebody.

It's the first book in the final series. Brooks is concluding the series timeline - final book was originally scheduled to be released in July but now in October. That's probably why the discount. Yes he might have more books in Shannara world, but they won't be past this timeline end.
