Well, Downpour's Black Friday Deals link still doesn't work and the hourly title is still the same.

But, I stumbled across this super top secret sale

It seems that all of Downpour's Rental Titles (17,000+ titles) are on sale for $0.99 each. So if there's a book you want to listen to, but not buy, and it's not available in your library, then now's your chance.

I am persona non grata at Audible, having ditched my "membership" as an "Inactive Light" member months before it was scheduled to end, just to make a protest against that stinking membership.

), but could it be that Audible does that so that people are forced to go through the entire list again, in case they missed one the first time that they checked and this time decided to buy it, or in case someone would change his or her mind about one that they thought about purchasing then, but didn't?

I'm not a member at all (anymore) at Audible, but I can see the sale prices. And was therefore coerced into buying 7 books for a total of $40.
