Speaking of Trilogies, according to http://www.dantesinfernofilm.com/, Master Films Productions is planning a trilogy of 3D films based on Dante's Divine Comedy.

I'm currently reading two different versions of The Divine Comedy, and listening to a third translation by Wordsworth on YouTube.

I am reading The Penguin Historical Atlas of Ancient Egypt - a remarkably well written concise book that traces the dynasties of Egypt using maps of the major cities & construction sites. A great companion to the Amelia Peabody mystery series.

I just finished "The Return of Sherlock Holmes" and started "The Death Trip" by Marion Stein today on my iPhone (which unfortunately I don't really like so far). Trying to decide what I want to start next on my Reader. Crossing my fingers that "Silver Borne" by Patricia Briggs comes out in the next half hour on the Sony store.

just finished The Bull and the Spear, the first book in the Corum: The Prince with the Silver Hand trilogy by Michael Moorcock. Man, published in 1973, but still good today!

Just finished 'Solar' by Ian McEwan. It was very funny in places, but I was a bit disappointed overall. I don't think it comes up to the standard of his best novels; the plotting was a bit clunky and the ideas not as thought provoking as usual.

Now started 'Parcels for Inspector West' by John Creasey - a pbook I picked up at a boot fair (for 20p ).

Among other books I'm reading, I'm still currently struggling with The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin. I really do respect the remarkable contribution he made to our understanding of our place in nature, but holy barbiturates, Batman! That is one sleep-inducing boring arse book!

I'm sure that's part of why I've never read it completely. I always start with good intentions, but.....

I'm sorry to hear that. I never did finish the Beagle narration, even though I found it very interesting at the beginning. Somehow the interest died out after a while. But I probably should try to finish it some day. I never got to the Galapagos islands

Steve Jones (Professor of Genetics at University College London) wrote an updated version called "Almost Like a Whale" - I'm thinking I'll read that instead of the original (eventually).

Just started Naked by David Sedaris. Very funny collection of autobiographical short stories. Between this month's, yet to be decided, book club selection and this, I'm gonna get my fill of humor this month.

I have read all of his books. He is one of the few authors that make me laugh out loud.
