Well I read the prologue and was hooked by it (my all-time favorite is Crowther & Woods' Colossal Cave Adventure, a text-based game)! I promised myself that before I read the rest of it I'll clean up my current mess (several partially read books).

Wow. Ready Player One does look interesting. I like that it's a standalone, and not part of a series (yet?).
*Added to my long wishlist* ![]() Edit: Added Texas Gothic to my wishlist as well. This thread is dangerous! ![]() Last edited by BuyMore; 08-18-2014 at 08:23 PM. |

I've read Ready Player One. If you know enough about the 80s, you'll love it. It's a very good book and a very easy read.

Little warning for Texas Gothic - it may be borderline YA. If you don't mind the occasional college kid, then it is fine. :P |

Witless and whiny? Give me a bad example. The last two YA books I read were Hunger Games trilogy and Divergent Trilogy. On each I would say the age of the people only matters when you actively remember. They could have easily been older.

Ahh..I haven't read Hunger Games (I just watch the movies), but I've read Divergent Trilogy. It certainly was a great read.
![]() ![]() I haven't read a lot of YA books, but from the few that I've read, there are some that don't exactly sit well with me:
These characters keep on blabbing about their problems (because we're put into their heads ![]() Well, I read these books a few years ago, so I'm not sure if I'll still feel the same if I read them again. But it's another issue whether or not I would like to read them again. Lol. Sorry but English isn't my first language, so I always have problems expressing myself. I hope you won't get too confused reading what I'm trying to say. ![]() |
