Has anyone tried to use the Prime Pantry credit that expires Jan 31? I have $12 in credit, plus if you use the code PANTRYJAN you are supposed to get free shipping. So I tried, I put two packages of paper towels in the cart. At checkout, the shipping code does not work, and only 1 of the credits (5.99) shows up. So needless to say, I am not ordering. Maybe it has something to do with the Prime Pantry Box not being "full."

Annoying!

I used my remaining $5.99 Prime Pantry credit (expiration date Jan. 31) last week for a less-than-full box. That one's good only against shipping cost (not merchandise), and you can use just one credit per order.

The PANTRYJAN free shipping code is only valid if you purchase five select items: Prime Pantry New Year New You Savings: Buy 5 Select Items, Get Free Shipping.

Hmm. I was waiting on another Prime Pantry Shipping Credit as I'd found a few items I purchase regularly available in Prime Pantry at a good price. The items qualify for the promo, but the price of each has gone up by a few dollars! Which makes the shipping seem not so free. I can buy the stuff cheaper locally, which I shall do.

I'm noticing more overpriced items on Amazon lately. Verbum sapienti, I suppose; you have to know your prices and not just click the buy button. I'm willing to pay a bit for convenience, but not a hefty premium for stuff I can pick up when I'm out and about.

I had forgotten about the Prime Pantry credit until I received this email today.

You are receiving this email to notify you of a change to your No Rush promotional credit.

You now have until February 29, 2016 to use your $5.99 credit towards your next Amazon Prime Pantry purchase.

Probably won't use it as I am noticing the same pricing issues as Issybird.

I agree! The Prime Pantry items I purchased had reasonable prices compared to local stores, but that's certainly not always the case.

Amazon's prices can fluctuate quite a bit, too. If there's something in particular I want to buy, I add it to my Wish List and periodically filter by "Items with price drops" there.

I purchased some items from Amazon yesterday and earned additional $1 no-rush shipping credits. These expire on May 15, 2016.

Uh-oh, uncharacteristic f*ck up by Amazon... £21.78 of my no-rush credits disappeared before their 15th February expiry date (I have a total of £75 to use by that date) They've now corrected that thankfully.

Looks like something else has gone wrong because I've been charged for the last book I've just bought and yet I should have those £20-odd digi credits left.

I have a feeling it's going to be a nightmare because CS won't have a script for that

Edit: ah no, re-reading the email, it looks like they've credited back as 'normal' promotional credit and not digital credit, so I reckon it should get deducted from the next physical order, rather than ebooks (I think!)

Aaaand yep, if I put something in my basket and then go to checkout, the £21.78 are deducted there.

If it's a promotional credit, you should be able to use it for ebooks that are sold by Amazon. Unfortunately you can't check to see if it would because 1click sucks since you can't see how you are charged until after you are charged.

Why were your digital credits changed to promotional credits if I may ask? In the US digital credits can't be used on big publisher books. We used to be able to use them and this change happened with no warning here. I wonder if they are doing the same thing in the UK.

I had £75 digi credits valid until 15th February, some of it disappeared by mistake. From their email:

"Your £21.78 credit for selecting No-Rush Delivery expired before it should have. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
To resolve this, we've applied a promotional credit of £21.78 to your account."

I bought big publishers agency-priced books this morning with the £53.22 that hadn't gone missing, it's just the last book I bought was only partially covered by the remaining digi credits (since I had mistakenly assumed that the £21.78 had gone back as digi credits rather than standard promotional credit) and so I got charged for about half of it

So you got lucky because I think you can buy anything with standard promotional credits.
I have only got them once and that was because Amazon goofed and accidentally applied a gift card credit to the author instead of to me.
I bought the book and a minute later, the author gifted it to me. So I had to convert it to a gift card. When I never got the credit I called. They had to give me a promotional credit.

I've already used it Doesn't matter too much to me what I can use it on, whether I spend it on ebooks or other stuff, it's the same amount of money (though of course I've selected no-rush shipping for those items so getting digi credits )

I just ordered something from Amazon, and the so-mo shipping option is back to the dreaded $5.99 Prime Pantry discount. Just thought you should know.

Amazon UK have upped the no-rush credit to £2.99 during their Easter deals week, unfortunately it's Pantry credits this time round rather than the far more useful digi credits.
