I'd recommend doing it manually from a download/checkout or my GitHub tree, as the .bin hasn't been repackaged for quite a while.

Note that this currently requires the very latest Python snapshot, plus a hotfix for it that was posted in #409.

Yes I used the .bin from the first post. I used your python snapshot, but not the fix. Will try to proceed later today. Should I uninstall anything or not worry about that?

The python on my voyage has not been updated in several years, but Librarian Sync works perfectly.

My PW2 automatically updated to 5.10.2.1... shit!... :-(
if i now ran LibrarianSync "rebuild collections (calibre plugin)" over KUAL (seems to be V2.7(20160721,a) its writing "rebuilding collections from calibre" but it isn´t coming to an end...
What do i have to do? Do i have to install a patch. if yes, then how do i do that?

Reinstall python. Latest version from snapshot doesn't need patch anymore. LibrarianSync itself, no need to reinstall.

Does the plugin work only on DRM-free books, or also with DRM-protected books bought from the Amazon store? With these, I understand Calibre cannot read them because they are protected, but can Calibre still read the titles, tag the books and use the tags to create collection on the jailbroken Kindle?

I searched the thread for "DRM" and "sideloaded" but didn't find an answer.

For it to work with DRM books, I suppose you need to tag them in Calibre. How would that work? Can Calibre tag a book which it cannot open because it's DRM protected? Or does this only work if Calibre has a DRM free version of the book, and the plugin recognises that the DRM version on the kindle is of the same book?

I'm away from a computer right now, so I can't tell you much more, but I seem to remember being able to edit metadata properly on drm'ed books.

You can tag the book entry in Calibre which is good enough for the Kindle Collections plugin. Neither Kindle Collections nor LibrarianSync care about embedded tags, afaik.

What the plugin does is create a file [Kindle]:\system\collections.json which is basically a list of all the collections you want to create with the ASIN/identifier of books you want in those collections. LibrarianSync then reads that collections.json file and creates/updates the collections on the Kindle.

I must be missing something, I downloaded v1.10, put the .bin file in my \mrpackages\ folder, ran the install via Helper/MRInstaller, then the device reboots, and still nothing showing up in KUAL for LibrarySync.

What am I missing here?
