Hello,
I also own a bricked original Kobo wireless model N289. It was bricked when I made the mistake of turning on the wireless about a year ago. It ran fine for years until I did that. So, I hate to bother you, but I give up trying to fix it myself, could use the binary image for the internal 2 gig micro rom chip.

Hello, this is my first message.

I'm from spain and my english is not as good as i wish... sorry about that.


I have a kobo wifi n647 wich says "no books found".
Looking in with calibre or windows explorer i can see the books there.

I have found a lot of problems after 1.9.12 update few months ago.

I usually work with windows, but can try an ubuntu live cd if needed.



¿Can somebody help me with the steeps?
¿Can i turn back to 1.9.11 or earlier version?

It took only 5 or 10 minutes and my kobo is alive again.

Well... not exactly... this is not my kobo because it is at least two times quicker on page swap and book load!!!!.

Need an firmware image for the Kobo Wi-Fi
I have a Kobo Wifi that got bajanxed in the middle of an upgrade of some sort and is now stuck on the boot screen (7 squares lighting up over and over) does anyone have a firmware image for this model that I can attempt to put back on it?

zrolesinc: Which Kobo WiFi do you have, N647, N647B, or 289? Once we know that we can send you the correct file so you can write the image file onto the internal SD card.
