How long they can keep convincing people to pay $400~500 for an entry-level or last year's iPad model while other tablets are quickly dropping down in price, we don't know. I do think other manufacturers aren't making as much profit from their tablets despite matching the iPad in price. Main reason being economies of scale. |

Who says content is restricted? Forgot your coffee this morning, bright eyes? Just kidding, no offense. I want extra space on the device, not in the cloud, and not with a bunch of extra cables or boxes. SD cards disappear nicely into the unit, like they are an integral part. And they can be swapped when I go on trips.

I'll add that I carry a messenger bag, so this little card reader sits discreetly in the bag (in a pocket or such). I'm actually going on a cruise this week coming week & taking several SD cards with movies for the kids, who can stream simultaneously between the kindle fire & the iPad. I just don't think you like the fact that I can do it. I did have my coffee, keurig, donut shop. Oh wait, am I going to get some lecture about their propriety little cups. ![]() Our company has to deal with computers that are semi locked down: no internet access, and they do not want to install iTunes (USB devices are fine). We need to be to email zip files to/from an iPad/iPhone, and get those zip files on/from the computers. How can I do that (without jailbraking the iPad/iPhone)? I'm not an Apple hater, just rather new/ignorant to the iPhone/iPad. Thanks. P.S. And sorry for sidetracking the thread. ![]() |

:Ricky gervais voice: I haven't needed flash since the iPad one. Mobile flash is becoming obsolete, you know this right. Discussion was regarding sideloaded content, in case you missed it. But you don't have to respond. Someone who still uses flash asan argument does not understand the mobile space. |

And again... projecting other perceived needs on everyone... lot of people could care less about cloud and many actually want to keep their own data under their own control... once it's "out there," it isn't exactly secure... and 10GB!!!! pathetic size...

I'm pretty sure that the answer is that you can't. However, if you were wiling to jailbreak the iPhone, there does seem to be some software that will allow file transfer over bluetooth. It's called Celeste. |

At work, my desktop has no wifi, but my old elcheapo laptop does. So eveything is transfered to my laptop, virus scanned (company rules) then transfered where ever else. This would be the same process for me whether using ios, android or even a USB drive (again, company rules). |
