Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Now I just need to find time to read them all. My TBR pile is now attracting mountaineers.

Fun while it lasted though. I'm still adding/correcting metadata in Calibre for all my purchases.

If I wasn't automatically put in timeout after every 7 purchases I would have bought far more than just the 20 ebooks I did. Actually a good thing that it stopped working, since I was running out of stuff I wanted to buy.

Well just got off the phone with my Card company looks like the card is worth the plastic it's made out of *sigh* They refuse to reactivated it and said we couldn't get a new card. I advise anyone to stay away from Green Dot. It was a good card while it last the 2+ years I've had it but some policy must have changed and it's no longer good for ebook purchases. They say they are sending a refund but not holding my breath it was only $15 so thanks goodness it wasn't after I just loaded it.

That's a shame. I tried them for my sister a few years back, but there were all sorts of added charges to get cash plus a monthly fee, so I never renewed it.

FWIW, even though it is a pain to add the card number and pin number every time and I can't quite figure out how they are calculating the difference between American and Canadian dollars, the Chapters Indigo electronic giftcard works like a charm. I registered for their site and will definitely use one again when my balance on this card runs out.

It's okay I think I found a better deal. Just ordered a American Express Serve. The Walmart Money Card Rept was mean and rude and wouldn't tell me anything. He kept over talking me. Jerk. When I asked how many transactions is allowed in a day. He wouldn't tell me. When I told him I had made more than 40 transactions in a day before when this was less than 20 he had no answers. When I asked to speak to his survivor he gave a lame excuse. So I ask to speak with his supervisor's supervisor. He wouldn't budge. When I asked if I would be able to get a new card he basically said he said it would be blocked too. So I am done with them.

I might have to check them out...I have been using paypal but this time all of a sudden I had an extra $1.00 charge for each transaction by the time it reached my CC. Have paypal looking into it, but I am not happy. Overall I still saved, but still

It seems I was given a $25 credit. And they subtracted the price of the book + 1¢ for each transaction. Only they didn't always charge the extra 1¢

I paid $24.02 (US) + a small foreign transaction fee. When I buy another gift certificate I will use my other credit card which doesn't charge foreign transaction fees. At the time of the purchase that credit card was denied because my bank put a hold on it over the weekend due to my suspicious charges (i.e. my normal Kobo coupon time spree ). I must say the guy I spoke with from the fraud department must not be a reading fan as he did not understand why I would want more than 10 books

few people do, I like coming in the forum because here people understand my love for books and don’t think I’m nut’s, since the shopping spree is over I’m going to order my library and send some new books to the glo, and it also will be more than 10

Does Kobo allow gifting ebooks? I can't seem to find it on their website. Guess that answers my question.

Here, here. Just took at look & count and my CC bill, 70 books and that doesn't include all the ones I bought before the contest with the 50% codes. I did save a ton of money though and I keep trying to convince the wife of that too
