Currently 21C. Expecting 23C. Looks nice and sunny outside, though they're predicting "a few showers". However, it looks like those showers are running up the coast out to sea. Breeze is cool...well, okay, it sounds cool...I haven't got out of bed yet to check. If it's not breezy, it could be warm enough to take a book down to the beach and read, or just do so by the too-cold pool (okay, maybe in the spa).

A week ago we were in a drought. Our pond was down a metre or so; grass was drying up; several of our smaller trees gave up the will to live. Now? Flood

Our main access road was closed by flooding on Friday. The water's down now, but storms and heavy rain are predicted during the next few hours.

We seemed to jump from summer to winter, with only the briefest of autumns.

Woke up to darkness, thunder & lightning - then more torrential rains.

Baby cat so frightened she wouldn't come out from under the kitchen table for breakfast - had to push her bowl underneath. Only ate half - now back under the 2-ton chest of drawers she hides under to avoid storms and visits to the vet.

More storms to appear today. Temps in the 70s & humid. Flash flooding in some areas. A day to stay home and read the NYT.

aw ! poor kitteh. i hope the noise stops soon. you're sweet to try to feed her in her hiding place. she's lucky to have such an understanding poohchicken to live with.
