I do not buy books to impress people, I buy what I like and want to read.

I have more than 30 reference books. I don't see what would be ideal or GREAT about getting rid of any of them.

Having read her books there's an important caveat "unless they bring you joy".

A woman who considers a collection of pinball machines worth keeping since they gave the owner joy and even discussed how to display embarrassingly cheesy merchandise in a closet so that the owner could see and enjoy them every time they opened the closet would not begrudge a bibliophile their shelves of books as long as every book was a joy to the owner.
