I think kobo has done some change, I tried to buy it and although it shows the promotion there is a box next to the price that tells to shop for it from the Portugal store where there is no promotion. I’ve tried several times to change location to the united states store and the Canada one and I use a VPN and I couldn’t buy it, in the past I simply changed to the US store and bought the book, it’s the first time I’m unable to buy from the US store.

You need to change your location under Account. That's for tax purposes. No VPN needed.

If you use a country with same tax everywhere, no address is needed. USA sales tax varies by location, so you need somewhat on an address with absolutely a Zip code (which sets the sales tax).

Then your payment method may object. Paypal used to work, but may not. A Revolut account might work. But in all cases the payment agency may flag the transaction as possible fraud (due to mismatched locations) and then you need the payment app to release/verify the transaction.

I wasn't able to travel the last time I tried, either. You may have to make a separate account for the other region at this point.

Thanks's but my account has an US adress, I've always shoped at kobo with that adress and it worked, but not this time.

It was still full price when I checked Kobo yesterday. Glad to see it has changed and wasn't an oops.

It's been a while since I've bought something on the kobo store and I usually used gift cards but for some reason I've added a credit card and forgot about it, and since this one was free I didn't think to look on the payment page.

Jennifer Estep's First Frost, which is a prequel novella for her Mythos Academy series, is free right now at Kindle UK, but not anywhere else that I checked. At least so far...

I've liked several of Estep's series, but haven't ever tried this one.
