'Just spent the past 4 or 5 hours reorganizing and cleaning. I like this apartment complex a lot (it's way better than living in the war zone), but every few months we have inspections... They're strict. 'Have to make sure it's spic and span by next month.

Now it's time for dinner--tacos!

I've just painted my nails, so I'm now waiting for them to dry. I'm trying out a fixative spray, which is supposed to help dry nail polish quicker. It does seem to work well, so far. I sprayed it on a couple of minutes ago and already my nail polish isn't tacky anymore.

I'm finishing this mug of tea, then going for a walk. There's a large, multi-use park just over the hill with a good network of paved and unpaved trails. Last year my physical therapist suggested that I do more of my walking on uneven surfaces as a way to strengthen my knees.

The weather is pretty good. After several days in the 90s (F), and heavy rain yesterday and last night, today's high was 76° with a bit of a breeze. On the down side, the ground is still wet and it's humid -- and the gnats and mosquitoes are out.

I'm off schedule today -- no evening drives required.

I just finished making a shopping list for tomorrow. Now I'm waiting for 9.30 pm, when we're allowed to put the trash outside.

My father had a bicycle accident on Friday and hurt his ribs, so I'm doing most of his chores until he feels better. It's also why I was alone in the store yesterday, I expect I'll be alone on Tuesday and maybe Wednesday, too. Luckily with the predicted temperatures of over 30C I'm not expecting it to be very busy.

Probably nothing, I took it out 15 minutes early. In theory you could get fined. A lot of stores put their trash out after closing on Saturday, because it gets picked up on Monday between 8 and 10am. On Monday a lot of stores in the city centre don't open until noon or 1pm, if they open at all that day.

I've never heard of anyone being fined for puting out their trash early. Occasionally they open bags to see if someone/a business doesn't put out too much trash, or if a business puts out trash when they don't pay for it.

Preparing for a trip to Texas tomorrow--my bus leaves at 5:10 am. I have to be there an hour before. I think I'll get a few hours of sleep, eat breakfast and head on out at 3:30 am. More than likely, I'll barely arrive on time... at the last minute.
