What a day! Troubleshooting issues with a new ticket tracking system...freaking out when changes were made to the system in the middle of the day with no warning ...barely had time to sit down and my to-do list is longer than ever. Tomorrow doesn't look much better.

At lunch, a friend noticed my car brake light wasn't working. I replaced the bulb when I got home but didn't have anything heavy to weigh down the brake pedal so I could confirm that it worked. When I asked a neighbor to help me check it, he was shocked that I changed the bulb myself. And even more amazed that I have a toolbox. Glad I didn't mention my electric drill or he might have fainted.

And now I'm going to find something for dinner.

Now go post in the "Do you use Twitter?" thread that you're posting in the "right now" thread that you've tweeted what you were posting what you are doing now on the forum...and then tweet about it (and then update your status of Facebook).

So meta! It feels like a De Lorean has just crashed into my cortex while doing the Time Warp to the beat of a circadian rhythm.

Cheers,

Well good for you! I like it when someone learns new things that were deemed "unproper for one's statute".

You should buy a small tablesaw, just to tease that neighbour.

In the last shop I've worked at, there were four cabinet maker ladies for 28 men. I had never seen that in 30 years at the craft.

Just at the minute I'm learning to use multiple quotes on MobileRead...let's see if it works.

Thinking of you...I hope some new clients come waltzing through the door soon! (I'm in the midst of writing grants for a project which would give me an income for the next few months, so I can sympathise. )

(haha try that one one your keyboard : ê !) --which is where I am right now : beautiful sun, not too bad music on the radio, nice waiter who knows me...(knows he should just shut up when I'm typing ) it could be a lot worse.

I spent most of my childhood as my Dad's helper in his workshop. By the time I was a teenager, I could anticipate what he would need next and have the tool ready like a surgery nurse. I miss those days.

Thinking about what I should be doing (rather than reading MR), e.g.:

- Migrate data to a test version of a web application I've updated, so the users can test it

- Reconstruct the log of my web support activities for the past couple of weeks (or did they say months?) so the consultants can get an idea of how much support the current system we use requires

- Third thing... there was a third thing I wanted to try to get done today... Scan an article for my classmates? I thought it was work-related... oh well, hopefully it will come to me.

My..ahem.. not so kind offer was --I have to confess-- a very low way to get back at just anyone for the f****king time I spent trying to get rid of the f***king black paint that seemed such a good idea before. Fhew ! (= :sigh
[The kitchen walls were one thing but then just as we were in a mess anyhow we also painted most of the furniture --don't ask, you don't really want to know]
