Right now: clenching my jaws because I just realized that the two days off I took last week that were supposed to be paid were NOT paid.
I'm beyond angry, and will ask for explanations this morning - but just the thought of asking (and in that place, whatever you ask for, they'll make you feel like you're begging, even if it's something you're entitled to) makes me...AAARRRGGHHHH!!!

Edit: Fixed, will get paid next week...boss was nice about it - treating me like I'm her best friend today, really akward. She actually asked today what I was studying (why the interest now?), and plenty of other things about my life. Weird, really. But hey, I love her being nice!

If (when) I do get a kiln, sheet glass will end up in my stash as I have lots of ideas for fused glass beads!

I have a microwave kiln I got on eBay. Search for "Art Box" or "microwave kiln." It needs a bit of calibration to know how long to leave it in-- I did melt some small pieces last Christmas-- but I used it just recently to enamel a pin. The cost is relatively low and it's small enough to store easily.

that's how they try to get you! some people actually never say anything an get away with not paying them just cuz they wont speak up.

I'd never even heard of microwave kilns til now! Just googled for them, and I think I might be getting one when I can afford - thank you!

I %&# hate my girlfriend´s insurance company!!!

She had a car accident a month ago and now they tell her that she has to pay for 25% of the repairs because they said it was her fault. The accident happened at night when my girlfriend changed lanes while driving to my house, she checked her mirrors and turned on her turning signal, the other car had no headlights, no horn and was speeding, yet they claim it was HER fault!

Hopefully we can get it straightened out on monday when we speak to the General Manager.

Arrrrrg!

I do truly love my Kindle. I am really happy to have discovered mobile reading devices. Really. I have read more in the last six months than I would have without my Kindle. I have fewer eye, back, neck, and arm problems than I had when I was reading paperbacks and hard bound books. I've saved a ton of money and I can carry around a ton of books in this nifty gadget.

But...

I really, really miss page numbers!!!!

Really. I hate not knowing what page I'm on! I hate not knowing how many pages there is in the book! ARRRRRRG

It is driving me crazy.

I've come up with an unsatisfactory solution

but I'm not happy about it. What I'm doing is dividing the weird number that the Kindle gives you by ten so I can say to myself OK the book has 3560 thingies which makes 356 pages and I'm on 556 thingies which means I'm on page 55.

<sigh>

Just doesn't seem right does it.

I want page numbers!!!

There are numbers but not representative of the real book's numbers. If you change font size so does the page number for the book.

Actually I've always relied in counting words rather than pages to evaluate the size of a written text. That's easily done in a word processor.

Well that's true. It's hard to discuss a book with a pbook reader when they are always on the wrong page.

But it does give you a scale of perception towards your progress in the reading of the book.
