Hi there,

I just tried to switch to a larger sdcard. I was double caring about NOT to format the sdcard, but now my ereader cannot even boot. (i couldnt even read the original image on the original sdcard).

I'll try if possible to format the original sdcard with an image if you could provide one for me ?

Thank you very much davidfor.

Unfortunately this was not able to solve my issues. For anyone else wondering, my Kobo would just flash a full screen of black - white - black - white on boot and the power LED would start flashing. I'm not sure what this signifies and it wasn't a result of any tinkering of any sort...

I first tried the manual reset, which didn't work. I called Kobo and they told me they couldn't help me. I tried booting it without the SD card in and nothing. Thanks to davidfor I was able to also try reflashing the SD card with the stock image file, however that didn't work either, even after trying another 8GB SD card. The same screen flashing occurred. At this point I think my Kobo is properly bricked. RIP my Clara HD.

Something got pooched.

Can flash the 4.8 firmware manually.
After that either a wireless update from the device, or a manual copy to card update of anything newer results in three dots perpetually and weird ghosting on power on press after it has applied the update.

Taken images of both the ntxrecovery and rootfs partitions as a backup.
But something here is screwy.
So starting with a fresh card image would be really helpful.

Manual reset seems to do nothing...
