It's possible Visa is declining my attempted purchase. Changing to Mexico may cause the ebooks to go through Kobo Canada and not Kobo US. Thus, it's considered a foreign transaction and declined. I don't have a Mastercard to test this. I always use Paypal.

It seems they allow Paypal in US, UK and Canada from the new checkout process.

If you have an unused code (like one of the 50% ones) you can switch to Mexico from the My Account screen. Paypal is there with code entry. Be aware prices will be different.

Thank you! Thank you! to whoever posted the 75% code GxKj5ws. I used it 18 times yesterday and another 10 times today! So far I have not received any confirmation emails from Kobo for any of these purchases but they all show up in my library and I've happily downloaded them. I'm in Canada by the way.

This is the first time I have posted to the Forum although I have been a regular reader for a couple of years. Thanks to everyone for providing Kobo codes and for all the valuable advice.

Yes the confirmation emails don't seem to show up when using the new site but I do get them if using the old one. Seems to still be some bugs in the new one or maybe it's intended *shrug*

Yesterday morning, I was getting the new checkout on the US site, but not the UK site. Last night I had the new checkout on both. Unfortunately a couple of books were not couponable at either.

I suspect that the bug isn't with that particular code, but with the new checkout page and any single-use code is now "multi-use".

Also keep in mind that Kobo will likely eat the difference between the price you are charged and the price negotiated with the publisher, which was something like 60% of retail under Agency pricing.

...and in honor of my little trip this morning to New Zealand, I picked up the first five Ngaio March/Inspector Alleyn three-book collections. I was never going to replace my well-worn and loved DTB in this series at $9.XX apiece for the individual ebooks or even at $14.XX for the three-ebook sets, which is still almost $5 a book. But $3.72 for each three-ebook collection is a ridiculous, almost embarrassing, DTB-replacement price and I bought the lot. I just wish the sixth one was available too, and not just on "pre-order" - sigh!

And here's an oddity - when I click through (on NZ site) from the pre-order it takes me to the old checkout, whereas clicking through from the books which are currently available takes me to the new checkout. Bizarre, huh! I guess the website updating for Kobo is going about as well as healthcare.gov here in the US.

What Difflugia is saying is that it's not the code, but the new checkout. I'm betting if you tried one of the 20% or 30% codes with the new checkout, it would also let you use it multiple times. I'm sure a bug in the new checkout that doesn't check if the code has already been redeemed is intentional.

Yes, I'd have to agree with you. Kobo wouldn't introduce a new checkout without thorough checking.
