I've just made a big mug of hot chocolate milk (it helps remove tea stains, so I've got a good excuse to regularly make some), I made a snack and now I'm going to see which scary films I'm going to watch tonight.

Tea stains in my mug. It's my favourite mug, but it stains easily. To clean it I used to use dental cleaning tablets. But I discovered that after drinking hot chocolate and rinsing it the tea stains can easily be wiped off. It gives me a good excuse to make hot chocolate once in a while, even in summer.

I wonder if it cleans tea stains off the teeth.

And, of course, it didn't work this time. I'm not sure why. So my mug is now soaking in hot water and a dental cleaning tablet.

Right now I'm preparing for the craft convention. Wednesday is the quietest day of the week and despite it being a busy week with shipments coming in, my father gave me the day off.

I've got my Must Get List and my Wishlist ready, I'm wearing my hiking boots, I've got extra shopping bags in my backpack and I've charged my iPod.

The convention will be opened by an adult movie star, who has just released her crocheting book. I got a bit giggly imagining what type of items she crochets.

Hopefully I can get some of the things I need, mostly for the Christmas cards I'm planning to make, and I can find some fun things I hadn't expected to find.

Makes sense. If the tea stains the mug, then it also stains your stomach. So the hot chocolate is cleaning two birds with one stone

I just cleaned up my bedside table (a 2x2 Ikea shelving unit). The electric wax tart burner doesn't work well; the 25W bulb just doesn't get hot enough. However, light shines through the ceramic burner subtly and for ages I have been looking for a nice and diffuse light fixture for on the other side of the bed (so it doesn't reflect annoyingly in my TV). Hopefully the burner will do the job.

In fifteen minute my father and I are off to the Staples, to look for a paper trimmer which divides the centimeters in millimeters and not in 4, and to the supermarket for the weekly shopping.

I've just made a playlist on Spotify to listen to when showering. I remember as a music obsessed teen I always took my portable radio/cd player/cassette player with my to the bathroom when showering to listen to cd's or mix tapes. If you would have told me that one day I would be listening to music through a wireless, waterproof speaker to music streamed directly from the internet I wouldn't have believed it.

Because I use the free version of Spotify you can only skip 5 songs and I've found ballads don't work for me when showering. So I just made a playlist with mostly artists which I loved as a teen (Aerosmith, Guns n Roses, Lenny Kravitz, Meat Loaf and some random hits and film music).

Now I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to do some reading tonight or watch something. I'm currently working on getting my movie watchlist under control after watching a lot of tv series and documentaries lately.

No Def Leppard? ?
I am listening to the dog snore.

If you had told me as a kid, I would be communicating with people around the world instantly, I would not have believed you.

I was in my mid-teens when internet became more widely available. One of the first things I discovered were newsgroups. I was a member of some music and movie groups and later various groups for The Sims.

No, never Def Lepapard. In my early twenties I had a phase where I was really into The Who and Janis Joplin. The last couple of years I like listening to Italian musician Ligabue. Meat Loaf is always good when I'm in the mood for "singing" along I find.

That tells me that I am slightly older than you. I remember newsgroups. I also remember when your choice was dial-up.
Note: my brother and me had a computer in 1982.
His computer until he discovered the dang thing had no memory. I got a used pinto station wagon with mag wheels.
Because you know a teenage girl really needs a station wagon.
Teenage girls also need to share an apartment with guys too.
Did both, had a blast and my granddaughter wonders why she can't get away with anything around me.
We listened to everything from Led Zeppelin to Def Leppard. Oh course, I was usually either the youngest or the oldest of the core group.

I can remember the noise of dial-up, too. We started with a Commodore 64. A cousin of my mother was somewhat of a hacker and we had loads of games. In 1990s that was our game computer. My father got an Apple Macintosh SE, which came with a teacher who came to the house a couple of times to teach my father how to use it. Until 1998 we had various (older) Apples. Then my father gave in and bought a Windows machine, mostly because back then our bookkeeper worked with software that wasn't available for the Mac. And also because my sister and I wanted to be able to play the games our friends were playing.

If you had told me as a kid that I wouldn't have to wait for the vacuum tubes to warm up ... well, I would have gotten impatient.
