The final full day in Newcastle and I'm starting to get a cold. This morning I visited The Angel of the North, even though it was grey and drizzly. After that I treated myself to lunch at Las Iguanas. I had planned to visit the castle and take some pictures at the Tyne, but it had started to rain harder by then. So I explored the city centre, stocked up on a couple of extra packets of Lemsip. By 2pm I was back at the hotel and spend the afternoon doing girl things; I had a facial mask, tried out Lush's new hot oil treatment for your hair, took a nice, long, hot shower with other, new Lush things. After that and a Lemsip I felt human again.

Tomorrow should be dry and I don't have to catch the bus until 2.45pm, so I'm going to visit the castle and river then.

Just paid bills. They were slightly less than expected. Looked at the ads. Nothing on sale, but no big deal since all I will need this week is milk.
Also fixing to shred today's mail and waiting on UPS for vacuum filters.

Quick question, does Amazon charge your credit card when you order or when the order is shipped?

When the order is shipped.

We had a murder nearby at a subdivision and helicopters circling since 8AM. Schools on lockdown and now they are bringing in the national guard.

Thanks. That explains the discrepancy between what I owed on the credit card and available balance this morning. The order shipped yesterday afternoon.

They got him a little before six but yeah everyone in the area was freaking out. Supposedly four men go to collect money owed from a guy who no longer lives there. A new tenant does. They broke the window and then started shooting. They hit one of their own guys killing him and they all panicked and fled. The homeowner is okay. He had a gun too but it's not clear if he fired back. They caught the first two not too long after but the last guy was on foot. They found him hiding out near the home. It's obvious drugs were probably involved.

I got the package from Amazon.
It was a really exciting shipment. Filters for the new vacuum cleaner. Our dust is so fine here, one vacuum of the house and the filters need cleaned.
Oh the dog doesn't like the new vacuum. It made his beds disappear. (Temporarily).

Home again.

I'm glad my suitcase made it. On the way from the boat to the hotel on Monday I noticed that one of the wheels was loose and kept flopping away. But I made it back home with out it breaking off completely.

I've unpacked and just need to put away the last couple of things. But first lunch and catching up on a couple of things.
