It would be great to have her here - finished the book this morning and I'll definitely read more in the series!

What? That's like a bit of Raven here and a pit and pendulum there, or is it just a Tale Tell Heart?

Actually, I've dug him up, mixed up his bones and teeth (especially those teeth!) and scraps of hair, and am reading those in an attempt to divine the future...

I was enjoying the book until I came to the deus ex machina ending. Are all her books like that?

I'm reading At All Costs by David Weber. It's a part of the Honor Harrington space opera series.

You can download them legally and for free!

I just finished "The Lightning Thief," which I enjoyed. Now I'm on my second to last book in this month's Harlequin Blaze bundle.

I've only read two, this one and The Tenth Circle. Both of them left me with the same disappointed feeling, however. I can't remember whether the ending of Tenth Circle was as contrived though as I read it a few years ago.

Yes, all of her books are like that. I borrow them from my mother in paper if they sound interesting. This is exactly the sort of book my mother reads. In fact, when she came back from a month of Florida, her first words were 'I have a new book and you will *love* it!' And guess which book it was?

Can't wait until stepdad caves on getting a Kindle (he wants it, she isn't sure). I have a ton of much, much better stuff I can load onto it for her.

I've finished "Without Fail" on Saturday and "Bad luck and Trouble" today. Both by Lee Child. Very enjoyable reads.

Now I feel like some SciFi again so I'm very torn between starting "Pandora's Star" by Peter F Hamilton or "Against a dark background" by Iain M Banks. I think I'll go with banks so I have more Hamilton to look forward to!

I'm reading B IS FOR BURGLAR, A Kinsey Millhone Mystery by Sue Grafton - hadn't read any of hers until a few weeks ago, when I tried the first.
