STRUGGLING to read my computer screen. I had to give up on progressives after 6 years (eye disease). I got regular bifocals. Nobody told me that the progressives provide the mid-range vision. So, now I'm waiting for trifocals. Until then, reading my computer screen is tough even with making the text size much bigger. Cooking? Not going so good. Grocery shopping is near impossible - fortunately, things like Cheerios and radishes were on the list - nothing I didn't know the shape of. Trying to clip the cats claws is near impossible without having them 6 inches away (only one cat lets me do that without kicking me).

I use zennioptical.com (cheaper) and have bifocals for distance + computer. Plus a separate pair JUST for computer. And one JUST for reading. And now one JUST for distance, also (so I can tip my head back and lowered-eyelid the driving when my eyes hurt from the computer screen). Paying for new prescriptions in progressive lenses got too expensive.

Wet down your clothes and your hair at regular intervals. Hey, it's only water; it won't kill ya! Did that while driving recently, when I suspected the air conditioner of overloading the engine.

I did the dishes while ago so I am wet. Hadn't thought about the hair.

Trying to relax after this crazy day.

Mom calls to tell me she is being released tomorrow. She con the doctor in letting her go home to recover there.

While I was reeling about what , who, going to be able to take care of her I get a call from my sister's social worker saying she is being released tomorrow and she refused rehabilitation. So she is being sent home.

The poor social worker gave up and ordered home services for them both.

State inspection passed. I don't know how but it did.

We are not going to be involved anymore after the ride home. Hubby and I can't be their delivery service or take them to doctors. They think they can hack it at home then so be it.

I wanted both of them to get the best of care and this isn't it.

Contemplating if I should open the trapdoor to the attic in my bedroom to see if I can get it to cool down quicker that way. However, having the hatch open always freaks me out for some reason, especially when it's dark.

I suspect there's a WHOLE lot of hot air up there, and that it would not cool down your room!

It's a very drafty place up there, especially when it's windy like now, we usually open the regular door to the attic to get rid of the heat in the house.

I managed to cool down my bedroom without opening up the hatch. According to the thermometer it's less than a degree cooler, but it feels cooler than that. Hopefully I can get a good night sleep.
