I just had a book refunded for this same issue, it's very frustrating and it's explained as a published choice to not offer "alternate" download options. If you use a Kobo App you should be able to read it that way. Depends on how much you want to read the book I guess... I've had no issues receiving refunds/credits for books that can't be downloaded.

But at least it's in your library! I just bought another that isn't showing in the library at all.

Hi, when it happened to me, in the Library book was showing as purchased with no download button.
But when I clicked on Purchased tab inside of Library it did show a download button.
I think it's a bug, you could try it out.

as of 3pm uk time the code GxKj5ws its still working or at least it seems to be. The 5 books just bought using it are in my library and on my device. Adobe drm epub downloaded as well.

The kobo checkout is the all new one and im using chrome for what its worth.

Checked in Paypal and all payments are still pending so am i in the clear? or are there going to be repercussions like refunds etc? bit confused/elated/guilty at the same time.

I just purchased Eva's Eye by Karin Fossum and had exactly the same experience. It was resolved much more quickly than my previous experience with Kobo customer service. BTW, that magic 75% off code doesn't seem to have a limit so I must apply the brakes myself.

They're welcome to do refunds and remove the books from my library (since I've already downloaded and liberated them)... As long as they don't charge the difference without my consent. I think the purchase is a binding contract and just like any other vendor, if they took my money and delivered the product, they have to eat the difference if there was a pricing error during the sale.

The 5th book I just purchased using the code GxKj5ws came with a Adobe DRM download button, but I am unable to download to Adobe Digital Editions because of "IO Error on Network Request". Probably shouldn't have gotten greedy.

I get those errors from Kobo every once & a while. Try again in a few minutes and chances are the download will work.

That happened with my fifth book as well. the .acsm file once downloaded returned a E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN error. might just be corrupted but another 3 downloads of the same file are also kaput.

will try again later, still i got a few good deals so thanks kobo. (and @Danger)

Ohhh this is bad, so very very bad. I expected the code to end at the end of the contest. Just tried it again on The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy: Trilogy of Five for $33 and the code worked. I couldn't control my hand it went ahead and pushed the buy button and I got the books for $8. I am so ashamed of myself and the abuse my CC has taken the last couple of days
