I'm back in the mother in law's good graces. She sent me a Clever Cutter. Hubby is freaking out. He says it's too sharp for me. Of course he still makes me use 17 year old dull knifes to chop with.

I can't wait to buy some veggies to try this gadget out.

Agreed but he disagrees with that. My mother in-law bought me a bread knife two Christmas ago and I use that for most cutting. He can use the dull rusty ones.

I looked up the "Clever Cutter". That wouldn't work for me, as you replace a whole hand or arm strength behind the knife, with only the grip strength in your hand. It looks like a pair of scissors. No way I could cut carrots (etc) with it, as their website shows. At least, not past the first 2-3 cuts, after which my grip strength would be gone.

I had to give away my cool thumb-press pepper mill for the same reason. ("One hand is all that's needed! Great while you are cooking.") I am not satisfied with 2-3 small shots of ground pepper. [Product kinda like this one.]

My MIL had arthritis in her hands and has had surgery on them they got so bad. She loves this thing. She says it's super sharp and best used long type of veggies, cheese and meat. She has hers for years.

Just a few turns and you can have diced vegetables or shredded cabbage.
It also comes with slicer and shredder blades.

I had one of those well not that exact one. Too much cleaning. Gave it away. Now no one can have my Lepresse. I absolutely love that huge bulky gadget. I got it many, many years ago.

Side question, then: what on earth does one need an egg separator for? I just let the white slide out of the shell, and leave the yolk in the shell.

Not that I do that more than once every 5 years, anyway.

I have no clue on the egg separator. That was the one part that really didn't work.

On the cleaning, I find it easy to clean. Wash the blade and top immediately after use. Either wash the bowl or put hot water in it as soon as you empty it.

Now my electric food processor is a pain to clean.

Oh, I typed LEPRESSE into Amazon (USA) and found it. Though only from third party people, and the comments say that it is no longer produced. So, Blossom, cherish yours since it seems you can't get them any more.

Oh I didn't find Narnia, but I did find paneling behind that cabinet. Hubby will help me take it out later since the cabinet didn't collapse like we figured it would.
