3. The product is not to your liking or satisfaction.

4. The product is a hygiene product, including but not limited to earphones, headphones, toothbrush.



HOW TO RETURN A PRODUCT?

1. Please email support@cect-shop.com with your return request. Please include your name and order number, and give a detailed description of the defect and send pictures if necessary to show the defect, eg display or touchscreen problems. This will ensure a quick turnaround.

2. Please wait for a reply from our support team and follow the instructions you receive from us. Please do not send any products until you have received a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from us.

Please notify us of the tracking number and shipping date when you send the defective device back to us.

The policy says you can't return it if you have used it. I'm in the process of sending back mine for repairs. I got instructions from them and it's so complicated and costly that I've decided to buy a new one instead.

How much does it cost to return something ?

Do you think one can still use it carefully and return it ? I find it hard to know if a phone fits one's needs without getting your hands on it.

However you use it, the phone's software will have traces of being used. That's how they know. And to be honest, I wouldn't want to buy a phone that was tested by someone else, as new from the shop. Everyone would like to test things first but it's not possible. The cost amounts to the parcel delivery costs. In my case, it would be 30%of the phone value

Actually, it seems rather straightforward to me.

If order a white phone, but a black phone is in the box when it arrives, I can exchange it or get a refund.

If I order a white phone, and the phone in the box is white, I can't exchange it even if I don't like the shade of white it is. Colours of actual objects will often appear slightly different in a photo on a computer screen.

If I order a phone and in the description it claims that it has certain features such fingerprint recognition, but the phone which arrives does not have that function, then I can return it for an exchange or refund.

If I order a phone which claims to have a feature such as fingerprint recognition, and if the phone which arrives has that feature and if it works, I cannot return it even if the feature doesn't quite live up to my expectations.

Some stores have a satisfaction guaranteed policy where you can return a product if it does not live up to your expectations. You could purchase the product, try it out, and return it if it does not live up to your expectations.

If you returned a perfectly functioning device to them which you had already tested out, they could not then turn around and sell it as new. They would have to sell it has an open-box product which would cause them to lose money.

Apps such as Documents to Go, Quizlet or AnkiDroid, will they likely work well on the HiSense A5 CECT Google Play version?

I am asking cuz I got the onyx now, and see they have "optimized apps", and if you want other apps, you have to go thru couple hoops to get Google Play, hence such Google Play apps will prolly not work that well.

So I wonder if random apps like Quizlet, AnkiDroid, will they likely work well from the get-go on the A5?

Havent tried exactly the apps you are looking for in my A5 with Google services installed. However, I am using quite some similar apps such as MS Outlook etc. and they work well. Particularly well, if I compare to how slow many of the non-optimized work on my Onyx Note Pro.

One thing that brings trouble though is, when an APP uses black background or a lot of dark solid elements. This does not slow but makes ghosting critical for reading.

Unfortunately, I have not found a way to make a forced refresh on the ROM with Google Play, making this issue with black backgrounds worse. I expected this on the eink button on the left, but it doesnt do anything.

So if anyone knows how to quickly do a forced refresh on the rooted A5, i would be very happy to know.

Understandable.

Will you sell yours and what are the chances of reselling a purchased phone at a similar price if it doesn't end up to be the phone you imagined ? (as an alternative to returning it )

Thank you. Obviously, not every store can afford to have Amazon-like policy. It does make one a bit more hesitant to purchase it on the other hand.

So I checked their shipping policy and apparently shipping (to european countries) costs about 10 euros. Adding import sales tax (15-35 euros) and another national delivery fee (at least 12,50 euros). So ,could one end up paying over 60 euros more than the actual price for the phone ?

Anybody know if Aliexpress could be a more viable option ?

Can some recommend an matte screen protector ? I remember reading somewhere that it has one pre-installed.

Anybody experiencing issues with the A5 google play ? Would you recommend rooting it yourself and enabling google play services or buying the version with the pre-installed google play store ? There's a thread in another forum where some people seem to be talking about some minor problems about receiving/not receiving messages.

I had ordered both, the rooted A5 and the A5 pro CC Form cect-shop to Germany. Their sevice is quick and smooth. I am reselling the pro CC, because i like it better but not without all the Google play.
So far i did not experience any issues with the rooted A5 but sometimes english instead of German, but more importantly, i cannot find how to force a refresh quickly, which sometimes would help against ghosting. This is easily done on the pro cc with pushing the eink button twice.
Also, the A5 i received from cect with multi-language and google pre-installed is on Version L1657.6.03.02.00, which does not seem to be the latest and misses the more refresh options that seem to be included in newer versions and in the pro CC.
However, i dont know how this would be if you root it yourself.
