dogs are better than cats, dogs will eat doughnuts, cats always turn up their noses at doughnuts, i don't want to be around those that do not enjoy doughnuts, i just can't trust those that don't enjoy doughnuts

By all popular definition, I am a "dog-person". However, having been the very happy host of Homer, the super-friendly Ginger feline tummy-rubbee, I am quite prepared to extend my trust to cats that turn up their noses at doughnuts on the basis that, I strongly suspect, it is merely their anticipatory hope that positive qualitative differences will become apparent through patience and optimism.

That is, they're just waiting for a better doughnut.

This new firefox plug in is sweet! Being able to refresh or stop by just holding down my two mouse buttons is a huge time saver and means I can reorganize my menu bars so they takes up less space!

It's friday, and I want to get my butt out of work.

Sun is shining, it's about -2 degrees Celsius, and a light snow-cover on the ground! Perfect day to take the doggies out for a long walk, then when you get home, light a fire, pour a glass of amber liquid (have a bottle of 15 year old Highland Park waiting for me), snuggle up in my favourite reading chair and just immerse myself in some Honor Harrington!

It is 35F outside and the heat is not working on the inside. Typing in gloves is not fun or all that accurate all the time.

That's not good. Any estimate on when the heat will be working again?

In the meantime, light a couple of candles near your computer. You can warm your hands over the flames. Or you can try this....

ooh, my sympathies. i hate trying to type with cold hands. make some hot tea and wrap your hands around the hot cup.

also, if you have one of those little pillows filled with cherry stones you can warm it in the oven or microwave and it will stay warm quite a long time.

Heat is back, I can type again without gloves. Some fool had set the control to "Off" Good thing I checked it before I called repair.
