I had a "fusion" breakfast yesterday of lox, a schmear of low-fat cream cheese, Bermuda onions, and fresh slivered tomatoes on a soft taco. Very tasty, well-balanced, and better for the waistline than a similarly dressed bagel. Will repeat that breakfast today, followed by a Japanese-American fusion bento box dinner from BentOn Cafe.

Bite your tongue young man. Taco Bell does not sell many tacos here. Taco Villa is the reigning king.
For a laugh: several years ago, TB offered TV several million dollars to buy them out. Buildings and name. Owner said sure. So TB took over all the stores. A year later the original owner of TV asked if he could buy the Taco Villa name back. TB said sure. Funny, none of those TB's are still open. We do have a couple of TB's that came in later. But no, these were homemade tacos. Now for a $1.99 cookbook. This is Fix it and forget it cooking light. Phyllis Good has several Fix it and Forget it cookbooks. I own most of them. Very good. https://www.amazon.com/Forget-Cookin.../dp/B014C58T38 |

I was just trying to get a rise out of you. I thought that I knew you well enough to know that they would be homemade. TB . . . . well, to me, some of their food is tasty and, occasionally, enjoyable to eat. But the tacos, for example, do not seem to be like authentic Mexican tacos. I've never been to Mexico, so how do I know what a real taco is supposed to be like? Well, I've been in several non-chain Mexican restaurants, mom-and-pop restaurants, and their tacos were not very similar to TB's. There is a chain of fast food hamburger restaurants in this region of the country where I live, called Hardee's which make them about as close to authentic as I've had outside of a real Mexican restaurant. IMHO. Oh, I'm not a young man. Unless you compare me to Angela Lansbury or someone like that. ha |

I have been sort of to Mexico a few times.
Let me tell you that Tijuana cooking is different from Matamoros cooking. I agree on Taco Bell. Taco Bell tacos are strictly American. Both in size and taste. Although on last night's tacos I bought the corn tortillas. I think Mexican food is like American food. Very regional. So, I guess I was comparing you to Morgan Freeman. |

Ack! I'm young compared to Morgan Freeman, too.

FREE PDF of "Delicious" Coffee Recipes.
This ebook is attractive, but not what I would call pretty, inside. There are not any photos within the text itself, for example. However, what this book lacks in attractiveness it has in comprehensiveness--it probably has every possible recipe for a coffee drink that you can think of, and many more.
I do not know how good any of the recipes in the book are, as I have not tried any of them yet. Wouldn't some of you good cooks out there like to try some of the recipes and let the rest of us know how they turned out? ![]() The book is copyrighted, but the copyright holder is extremely liberal with regards to how the book may be used: Distribute Freely . . . . Permission is given to distribute this e-book freely. Print copies for your friends, email it to them or send them to Coffee Fair so they can grab a copy for themselves. (page 3 of the ebook). Note: You apparently cannot cut-and-paste from this ebook. At least, I was not able with the setup of my computer. Title: Delicious Coffee Recipes! Format(s): PDF. Author(s): The Coffee Fair Team. Publisher: www,CoffeeFair.com. Pages: 53. Ebook Rating/Number of Reviews (Amazon): N/A. Price: $0.00. Lowest Price at (or through Amazon) if available from there: N/A. Book Description (from the book): We've assembled a huge collection of some of the most popular and well-known coffee recipes you've come to know and love. As an extra bonus we've also included delicious melt in your mouth coffee related pastries that you, your friends and your family will love and enjoy for many years to come! . . . . This e-book was compiled over a period of years by collecting recipes from family, friends, and from the good people on the Internet such as yourself who have emailed us their favorite recipes. Comments: I believe this to be a legal free download because it is stated so on at least three webpages on the CoffeeFair.com website, including this one. There are coffee recipes on the Coffee Fair website which may be not have been included in the book. URL: http://www.coffeefair.com/free-ebook...ipes-ebook.pdf (direct link). |
