Hi Booxtor,
concerning the new M96 - will you figure out a way how to save the scribbles in DJVU-files?
this was and is still a huge lack in the previous M92.

So, hello again people!
I got my replacement T68 and have been testing it for a few days. The touchscreen is now almost perfect. It is very good and within acceptable tolerances. It does register inaccurate taps once in a while but it is very rare.

My new device has a slight hardware issue (a strange sound when the next-page button is pressed) (video) but I don't care..

Now that tapping is ok, I can keep the reader!

Dear Booxtor,
Here's the wishlist for bug fix suggestions:

1. Proper support for opening and exporting of annotated pdfs. Moon+ does it properly, so why not Neo Reader? (I don't want to use Moon+ as it misses some of Neo's features)

2. When zoomed in (font size increased), next/previous page are not consistent. Some parts of the page get skipped. See this video, I start at one "view", go 2 forward and one back and I am at the initial "view" again!

3. Reflow/increasing font size does not always work on PDFs
4. (feature) File manager should remember the last opened folder

Thanks!
Cheers,
Chris

Hi all,

Have somebody tried another stylus? I find the one provided a bit short / not convenient.
Do you know where I can buy a stylus that would work on the M96 except on the ONYX store?

The M92/M96 stylus use the same tech (passive eletromagnetic) that is used in the Wacom digitisers - so any unpowered Wacom stylus should, in theory, just work.

I believe someone (tried and) said wacom digitizer doesn't work, however the ones from/for Hanvon do.

After using the M96 for a while last night, there is something that people who are looking to get one as an e-ink tablet should be aware of:

The pen is absolutely vital to using the M96, however, having to only use the stylus causes a slight issue: the device itself has no holder. This is why I bought the case as it *does* have a pen holder.

And yes, there is a "but" here: the pen holder is so tight that you end up just putting the pen down with the tablet instead of back in the holder as it is cumbersome to fit, which then, and as it happened to me last night a few times, you are hunting for the stylus.

Perhaps if the holder was on the side instead of at the top, it might work better/be easier to store, but I'll work with what I have got.

I have a nasty feeling I'll be losing my stylus before long though.

Booxtor, do you have a discount for bulk pen orders ;-)

I can tell whether it works with this eraser option on first version of M96 PCBs after we have updated FW of digitizer. In current state it will not work. For some experienced in electronics users it could be possible though - a jumper wire must be set like on the picture here http://c2n.me/jj9idO.jpg It is really a solution for experienced users!
I would rather suggest to go without eraser at the moment.

Now, if only I could tone down the light a lot more, my T68 would be perfect...

Is this even possible or should I just give up hoping for that?

Same here. The scribbling mode exits unexpectedly every now end then. Annoying.

I added this bug a while ago to the bug-/wish-list (https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Boox_M96_wishlist). I haven't heard Booxtor saying anything on that issue though.

Hello Booxtor,

Received my M96 today ( hooray, no thanks to UPS stuffing up the delivery *sigh* )

Just wondering, I did the Setup -> Extension -> Calibration routine, as I'm left handed, and now the pen doesn't work at all. Is there a way I can revert to default settings?

[**SOLVED**] - in the "Calibration" option, click [reset].

Regards,
Paul.
