One thing that some people do to handle both virtual and physical libraries is to create a custom column that names the library or libraries that a book is in. If you have multiple physical libraries then you add that column to each of them using the same column configuration information. You next add that column to CC's grouping drawer, giving you a list of libraries in the drawer. Long-pressing on one of the items (libraries) asks CC to show only books in that library. You can then use the rest of CC including the grouping drawer to explore that library. See our FAQ answer Sorting, grouping, and searching tips, and in particular the 6th paragraph. You can also use CC's file template system to choose different directory structures based on the above-suggested column. See the Advanced Techniques section of the FAQ answer What can I use in a CC file name template?. Finally, if you create multiple users on your device(s) then each user would have a separate instance of CC. Of course doing this comes with other costs of having multiple users. |

Hi Chaley
I've just bought CC and have been using it today on my eInk eReader. What I am really missing is the ability to navigate pages up and down in the various lists using the volume buttons. Is there any chance that you could implement this in a future version of CC? Thanks Piers |

Also note that there is an option in Settings / Customize the book list to turn on page up/down buttons in the book list and cover grid. |

I have discovered that this is the setting which is stopping CC from page scrolling using the hardware buttons, when this setting is set to on whilst using CC, the hardware buttons just change the volume rather than scrolling the pages. There are other apps which I have installed that don't seem to mind whether it is set to on or off and the hardware buttons still function as page scrolling buttons, these include AIReader, Moon+, Pocket, Mantano, and the built in FB2 Admittedly I don't use Kindle often on the Pro+ but I do use Repligo as my go to PDF reader because I think it has the best reflowed text I've found. Is there any way to make it so the hardware buttons still function as page scroll in CC with "Volume function side keys setting" set to on? In the meantime I'll set it to off. Piers |

My eReader Pro + is this model
It is running stock firmware 3.0.0B and the setting is under Settings/User settings ![]() This setting was definitely there in firmware 2.0.0B as well, I don't know about firmware version 1 as I flashed V2 on the first day. Last edited by molove; 02-11-2016 at 01:56 PM. |

As far as I can tell I have the same model (Energy_eReaderProP according to Settings / eReader info). I am running version 3.0.0B. The "kernel version" is Energy_eReaderProP_2016011214. The "build number" is Energy_eReaderProP_V2.0.0_2016011214. My settings screen has "Volume keys setting" not "Volume side keys function setting", and it offers only "close" and "open". It will be moderately difficult to make changes if I cannot test them. That said, I will look at it. |

![]() As you can see my model, kernel and build number are all the same as yours. Actually I've just figured it out whilst writing this post. My language is set to English (United Kingdom), if I change the language to any other English I get the same as you "Volume Keys Setting" It turns out "Volume Keys Setting" - Open is the same as " Volume function side keys setting" - On When it is set like this the page scroll buttons no longer scroll the pages in CC but change the volume. Hope that helps Piers |

Item for wishlist - I am using win 7 64
Please consider making the Calibre icon that sits in the taskbar show the progress of the current active task - similar to the Explorer Icon when (say) a file transfer is happening. Explorer has green background gradually moving from left to right, showing approx portion of the task that has been accomplished so far. Thanks SHIRLEY |

I've had this thought for a while. I don't really care about the progress icon, but I think it would be nice to have a "working icon" and a "complete icon" so you wouldn't have to keep checking CC to see when it was finished with a long process. I classify this as a nice to have if it can be done easily, but not a killer feature. |

Depending on your workflow, you might be able to solve this problem using a virtual library by setting up the content server connection to use a VL to restrict what you see to books that are (or are not). If that is of interest and you don't know how to do it, post in the calibre forum for help. |
