Same here but truly I have no way of knowing if the historical part is accurate. Take Virginia Henley I read her historical books are really inaccurate when it comes to historical events but I loved them.

Can you tell me which ones you have? She has several series and if I remember correctly you really like to read them in order. Her most famous series is The Roselynde Chronicles and it starts with Roselynde.
I have from her medieval books:
  • Masques of Gold
  • Roselynde
  • Siren Song
  • A Tapestry of Dreams
  • Fires of Winter

I sure will!

The first series I found after reading SKOW was the Candellano family:
  • Finding You (in a 2-book volume)
  • Knowing You (in a 2-book volume)
  • Loving You

The Marconi sisters series were some of the first ebooks I ever bought.
  • And Then Came You
  • A Crazy Kind of Love
  • Turn My World Upside Down

She also writes a lot for HQN, but I don't have good notes on those.

I will admit, I could have sworn there were more, but I think it's because I think she and Susan Mallery have very similar writing styles and I'm always having to check who wrote what.
Thank you I added them to my wishlist maybe they will go down in price. I read one her of Harlequins (An Officer and a Millionaire) years ago and I can say I can't believe they were written by the same person! I gave it two stars. I really think having the right editor can make a world difference. I am collecting her historicals too.

Yeah, well....I have a couple of books she wrote when she tried her hand at paranormals. I don't think I even finished the first one. She does better at full-length contemporaries.

I don't mind her HQN stories, but to me they're utter fluff. I don't remember them two days later. So if I'm in the mood for something easy and fast, they fit the bill...sometimes I just want to read *something* and I only have a couple of hours and that's when they'll suit.

I think some authors do better with different lengths. When I was buying a lot of Ellora's Cave books 10 years ago, Patrice Michelle was a favorite of mine....but *only* her full length stories. I thought she was horrible at short/novella length (still tried to have as many things and as many peripheral characters in the short ones, and they never wound up being satisfying IMO).

Oh, and by the way, I think Overdrive has most if not all of these books. You could check to see if your library bought them....

I checked to see where I bought them from to see if they were lendable...my copies of the Candellano books are still only print (I did do an easy reread a year or so ago from Overdrive). I bought the Marconi systems from S&S when they carried eReader (PDB) format books! So I definitely can't lend those.

With the exception of A Tapestry of Dreams, I've read all of these. As a matter of fact, since we've been discussing her I've decided to read that one next! That book is the first in the Tales of Jernaeve series. Fires of Winter is the next one.
Masques of Gold is a stand alone title which I recommend.
Siren Song is the first in the Royal Dynasty series also recommended, but maybe not quite as much as MOG.
As I mentioned, Roselynde is the first book in the famous Roselynde Chronicles. With this last book, be forewarned that the hero of this book is much older than the heroine. In the second book in the series that same heroine is a widow and the hero is the squire of the hero from the former book. Gellis makes it work because she writes so realistically of the times, but you should know this going into it. TBH, those two books are my least favorite of that series, though they are still very good compared to most.

Totally OT question - does anyone know how to restore the default setting in Calibre that asks if you are sure you want to delete a book? I am so tired of accidentally deleting something. I can't find it in the guide or help.

Roselynde has been a freebie at Amazon, and I am able to lend it to the first person who asks.

Okay I need you help deciding which book to read next. They both are in a series and both are with Audibles and I plan to read both but I can't make up my mind which one to read first.

Do I read

Simple Irresistible by Jill Shalvis (Lucky Harbor Series)
OR
Virgin River by Robyn Carr (Virgin River series)

I'd go with Simply Irresistible. But I'm biased as I gave up on Carr's Virgin River series a long time ago.

Or you could flip a coin

I used the Edit Book feature for the first time today.

I think I will generally still use Unpack Book. At least for books which are pretty well formatted.

But I must say Edit Book was perfect for this instance. I had a self-published book which was not properly divided into chapters, no page breaks at the start of the chapters, dedication, acknoowledgments, etc. And there was a mixture of double space and triple space between sentences. All of that was much easier to fix at the same time in Edit Book.

The Way You Look Tonight: The Sullivans by: Bella Andre

is free on Amazon and Kobo

Quote:
As a very successful private investigator who has caught most of the cheaters in Seattle with their pants down, Rafe Sullivan believes true, lasting love only happens once in a blue moon. Needing to get away from the city to clear his head, he finds the lake house where he spent the best summers of his life is now a wreck...but the sweet girl next door is all grown up and prettier than anything he's ever seen.

While Brooke Jansen is happy making and selling chocolate truffles in her small Pacific Northwest lake town, she secretly longs to experience something wild. So when her favorite “Wild Sullivan” moves in again next door after more than a decade away, and sparks fly between them, she can't stop wondering if being bad is really as good as it always seemed...and just how long it will be before she can find out.

But when their summer fling quickly spirals into deeper emotions than either of them were expecting, can they survive the heat between them? Or will Rafe make the biggest mistake of his life and end up losing the best thing that's ever happened to him?

Has anyone here read The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion? It's on sale for $1.99 at Kobo and Amazon but I just keep skipping over it.

Yes, hush all y'all, I CAN pass over a sale!
