![]() I don't mind her HQN stories, but to me they're utter fluff. I don't remember them two days later. So if I'm in the mood for something easy and fast, they fit the bill...sometimes I just want to read *something* and I only have a couple of hours and that's when they'll suit. I think some authors do better with different lengths. When I was buying a lot of Ellora's Cave books 10 years ago, Patrice Michelle was a favorite of mine....but *only* her full length stories. I thought she was horrible at short/novella length (still tried to have as many things and as many peripheral characters in the short ones, and they never wound up being satisfying IMO). |

I checked to see where I bought them from to see if they were lendable...my copies of the Candellano books are still only print (I did do an easy reread a year or so ago from Overdrive). I bought the Marconi systems from S&S when they carried eReader (PDB) format books! So I definitely can't lend those. |

Masques of Gold is a stand alone title which I recommend. Siren Song is the first in the Royal Dynasty series also recommended, but maybe not quite as much as MOG. As I mentioned, Roselynde is the first book in the famous Roselynde Chronicles. With this last book, be forewarned that the hero of this book is much older than the heroine. In the second book in the series that same heroine is a widow and the hero is the squire of the hero from the former book. Gellis makes it work because she writes so realistically of the times, but you should know this going into it. TBH, those two books are my least favorite of that series, though they are still very good compared to most. |

Totally OT question - does anyone know how to restore the default setting in Calibre that asks if you are sure you want to delete a book? I am so tired of accidentally deleting something. I can't find it in the guide or help.

Okay I need you help deciding which book to read next. They both are in a series and both are with Audibles and I plan to read both but I can't make up my mind which one to read first.
Do I read Simple Irresistible by Jill Shalvis (Lucky Harbor Series) OR Virgin River by Robyn Carr (Virgin River series) ![]() |

I used the Edit Book feature for the first time today.
I think I will generally still use Unpack Book. At least for books which are pretty well formatted. But I must say Edit Book was perfect for this instance. I had a self-published book which was not properly divided into chapters, no page breaks at the start of the chapters, dedication, acknoowledgments, etc. And there was a mixture of double space and triple space between sentences. All of that was much easier to fix at the same time in Edit Book. |

Has anyone here read The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion? It's on sale for $1.99 at Kobo and Amazon but I just keep skipping over it.
