So my tablet is here! I haven't open it yet but funny story. Blossom is crazy, yep that's the verdict. UPS guys stops at unit on the end. Turns out it was my UPS guy and he had my package but just needed to turn around So what do I say as I see him as I am standing outside looking like a crazed woman. "Beautiful day isn't it?" Luckily almost no neighbors are home at the moment. So I got my package and ran back in just as a wind blast tried to close the door!

Luckily my cats were hiding and didn't sneaked out.

Yeah that's how my day is going.

Glad you didn't get locked out of the house. Enjoy your new toy. I'm loving mine even though I haven't added any books to it yet.

Did you hear? Mantano now has custom bold and italics!!!

Just put your fonts naming them like you would for your Kindle. I am so happy!

It's charging wow that charger cord is super short! Going to have to research what works for it.

Sounds like stand alone. ETA: and not TMS related. Apparently it has been submitted to Kobo & others, not just Amazon. Now the waiting game for me with Kobo. [patience is not my strong suit, and we all know I have nothing else to read! LOL]

I noticed that today, now I need to find the italic and bold files for my san serif font.

I've never added fonts to my device. How does this work?

Also, for those of you who use Mantano, do I need the Essentials or Premium? I have FBReader on my phone. Since I usually read on my Sony or Kobo Mini, I'm not too familiar with the reading apps.

I think the update for that was only for the Premium version. I have Essentials and it's a different version number.

I'm not sure what's on essentials, I've had Premium from day 1 and have never regretted the $7 I spent on it.

I'm doing it right now. I found some free fonts (that have at least a bold and italic file) and am moving them onto my Nexus 7 now.

I just hooked up the micro usb cable to my computer and dragged the fonts from my computer into the Mantano/Fonts folder. Easy and working great. Now I have the dilemma of deciding which fonts I like best. I prefer san serif and have already found a few good ones.

Get ES File Explorer and you can use the LAN feature to access your PC and add the files that way. You want Premium it's well worth the money. I bought it twice. One on Amazon and one on Google Play because play version wont work on a Kindle Fire.

Or you can use Dropbox app to get the files on there.

Oh dear, I have LOTS of fonts on my PC and laptop. Not all are suitable for reading. But I could easily lose a day trying bunches of them out.

Open Sans does look nice.

That's half the fun!

I love playing with fonts. Just put the Kindle app on and OMG it's works and it looks great with KF8 books with trebuchet embedded. I am soo happy no blue border and I still can read my Kindle books!

I just grabbed Trebuchet off my PC. I like it but it's a little heavy. Quattrocento just moved in front of Open Sans for me.

Get the one from the Nook app it's better and optimized for tablets. You will need to set ES file explorer to show all files because they are hidden in the nook folder. You will also need to rename it once you copy it to remove the . from it.
