Moon Dance (Vampire for Hire #1) by J.R. Rain

Quote:
Product Description
Mother, wife, private investigator...vampire. Six years ago federal agent Samantha Moon was the perfect wife and mother, your typical soccer mom with the minivan and suburban home. Then the unthinkable happens, an attack that changes her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire. Now the world at large thinks Samantha has developed a rare skin disease, a disease which forces her to quit her day job and stay out of the light of the sun. Now working the night shift as a private investigator, Samantha is hired by Kingsley Fulcrum to investigate the murder attempt on his life, a horrific scene captured on TV and seen around the country. But as the case unfolds, Samantha discovers Kingsley isn't exactly what he appears to be; after all, there is a reason why he survived five shots to the head.

Let's Play Ball by Linda Gould

Quote:
Product Description
Miranda is a bright woman with an important government job, a nice home, and a prominent lawyer husband. Her fraternal twin sister, Jessica, is a sportswriter who has spent years sacrificing her social life and conventional career prospects to establish a magazine. However, Miranda envies Jessica's seemingly perfect relationship with her Cuban-born, baseball-playing fiancé, Manny. She can't help comparing their exciting love story to her own deteriorating relationship with her husband, Tommy.

When Manny disappears, his ex-wife, Guadalupe, takes responsibility in a televised address from Cuba. But as the weeks pass, Jessica's wide-ranging suspicions include baseball owners Johnson Carter and Javy Castilla, who seemed to have benefited from the crime, and two of Manny's "redneck" teammates, Wilson Boyd and Petie Jansen, who are members of a local militia-style group. Miranda's and Tommy's prior friendship with Boyd and Jansen also raises Jessica's ire.

Sensing that everyone involved in investigating the crime, including the local police, the FBI, and even Jessica, is headed down the wrong track, Miranda determines to uncover the truth herself--no matter how risky this proves to be, or who is exposed in the process.

The Secret in the Love of God by Osman Nuri Topbas

Quote:
Product Description
The Secret of Love was penned to engrave hearts with the love of Allah and His Prophet, through words reflecting a love of the kind straight from the author’s heart. It consists of two main chapters.

The first chapter deals with themes that manifest the love of Prophet Muhammad –blessings and peace be upon him-, drawing attention to the affect of this love on each creation. To give an example, under a title inspired from a date log weeping from the separation of the Prophet –blessings and peace be upon him-, it elaborates the love towards him experienced by what is on the surface an inanimate object. The chapter then goes on to dwell on issues constructive of Muslim character; like insan-i kamil, staying on the path of uprightness, being in the company of the righteous and spirit and body, laying emphasis thereby on the balance of life a Muslim ought to maintain.

The second chapter voices the way in which the righteous led their lives, their lifelong commitment and service to Islam and their love and devotion, aspects sure to provide an example for others.

The book teaches us the way to love the Beauty of all Beauties, instead of being deceived by beauties which are only temporary.

In an eloquent style, The Secret of Love serves to remind us of the truth that only Allah, glory unto Him, is the Absolute Beauty.

Return to Pearl Island, Bonus Chapters by Julie Ortolon

Quote:
Product Description
Dear Reader,

This ebook is my gift to fans of the Pearl Island trilogy who own the stories in print. When I released Falling for You, Lead Me On, and Don't Tempt Me as ebooks, I added a bonus chapter to each one so fans can see what’s happening today at the Pearl Island Inn.

If you haven’t read the series, this ebook can read as three short stories to give you a taste of this award-winning series. Titles include Falling for You, Lead Me On, and Don't Tempt Me.

Best,
Julie Ortolon

The Saga Hoard Volume 1 (Temple Libary Collection - The Saga Hoard) by Unknown and Mark Ludwig Stinson (Jotun's Bane Kindred)

Quote:
Product Description
The Icelandic Sagas are histories written in prose, describing life and events that took place during the Icelandic Commonweath period, around the 10th and 11th centuries. They are stories of families, adventures, feuding, deal-making, political maneuvers, wars, treasure amassed, great journeys, geneology, tribute given, kings, freemen, history, and myth. They are stories of the Norse and Celtic settlers and their descendants in Iceland during what is sometimes called the Saga Age.

It is believed that the Sagas were written down in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, and that at least some of them originated in the oral storytelling tradition. Their authors remain unknown, but the Sagas are recognized and respected as some of the best of world literature.

What is amazing about the Icelandic Sagas, is the weath of information included in them and the storytelling with which it is presented. Though written hundreds of years ago, they are still enormously compelling to the modern reader. Their style is crisp and quick, and there is action, emotion, and humor to keep one entertained.

The stories describe actions and conversations among the characters, but at no point are we told directly what a character is thinking. But while reading of their deeds and words, we develop a sense of their psychology and their thoughts.

The Icelandic Sagas are more than just great literature about an entertaining subject matter. For Asatruars and Heathens, there is indispensible knowledge to be gained here. These tales give us a window into the world of our heathen ancestors. What did they value? How did they resolve conflicts and disputes? How did they uphold their responsibilities to their famlies and their friends? How did they approach life itself and their places within the community? How did they view and honor their Gods and Ancestors? What sort of men and women were they? While these great stories were compiled and written down by Christians after the conversion, they preserve in their tales of our pagan ancestors much that we should know.

Some Sagas have been lost to history. We read of their existence or see reference to these lost Sagas in other works, and it is impossible to not feel the tragic loss. But a large body of work has been preserved, and it forms an amazing resource and foundation for our reconstruction of the heathenry of our Ancestors, in our modern times.

Contained in this volume are nearly 800 pages of Icelandic Sagas. Read, learn, and enjoy these tales of our Ancestors.
