Everyone seems to be having fun with this challenge. So I decided to join in and keep track of pages read and see what it totals for the year. Magazines and journals will be counted in my totals. I've set goal at 30,000 pages but I'll be happy with whatever number I achieve.

No pressure.

I am joining too. But here is a stupid question, how can I make an signature? Would be nice to have one too.

I am listing not all books, because I read a lot of fanfiction and will go with the word count, over 50000 is a book. Maybe I will list the title of the story. Have see nice recs of the book, haven`t read much book like I was younger, so I will see, if I can get the goal with the 100 books in 2011. Would be nice.

GA the MR goodreads group has no posts and hasn't been active since October, you have to click new to start a thread. The MR 100 books in 2011 group we are in seems to be coming along nicely though

yeah GA its HERE Care was nice enough to set it up and some of us started our individual threads to keep track of our books

Welcome to MR Nightshadow ! You have to have at least 10 post and be a member for 8 days before you can add a signature.

I have to admit, I love the idea of a challenge, but I think the "100 books in 2011" goal might be a bit much for me. I used to read a lot, but haven't in years. Getting a Kindle has re-sparked my interest, but I have to develop the habit, ya know?

That said, 17 days into the year I've already read 5 books, which puts me on track for the goal. I'm just not sure I'll be able to keep up the pace!

So I'm going to just keep reading, and not worry about the goal. I'll keep track of it, but if I don't reach 100, I will at least have enjoyed more books this year than I have in the past 10 combined. So I win no matter what.

Five down, 95 to go...
