Why didn't you just renew your library card?

I had an old library card, from before they merged all the provincial libraries.

Sometimes there are not available translated books, like no ebook nor physical others, and the availability brings back to buy an used one (K. W. Jeter, Dr. Adder - 1984)
https://www.amazon.it/Dr-Adder-Kevin.../dp/8834705165
https://www.amazon.it/Dr-Adder-K-Jet...dp/B01K3H2F0M/
*There is another one at 100$ lol.
In here it had 3 editions in 3 years, from 1995 to 1996.
I wonder if it could be a site where it would be possible to vote for some books, as to pull the translations and/or a new edition/reprint, and/or for an ebook version, also.
Ps: maybe it's Country-specific, the rant, and OT here.
The really only one available as new is the tascable version, a preciuous little, lol.

That's why I read mostly in English. Too few translated books are available in my native language.

The book you linked to is available in English as an ebook, and pretty cheap too.

Can you call and ask the librarian to merge your accounts?

I had to get a new library card from the library in the next town over (back when they were still free) and they were able to transfer/merge my holds, wishlist, etc to the new number. It took a day or so but they did it.

Of course this was back when it was only Overdrive and there were automatic holds on books requested (before Libby took over holds) so things may have changed.

I'd considered that too, it would be my 3rd book in english; having a quick, free-hands dictionary on the erader helps too.
Thanks .

Yes, it's much easier to read in a foreign language now. Back when I started to read in English, over 30 years ago, I had to keep a paper dictionary open beside the paper book. Oh, it was a slow and laborious process.

These days I don't need a dictionary often - mostly for specific slang words or historical terms (when reading a historical novel), and I use the Oxford English dictionary on my Kobos for this. There is no English-Estonian dictionary available for ereaders anyway.

This reminds of a sketch from Monty Python's Flying Circus:
