Just stuck a homemade chicken/cheese/broccoli casserole in the oven. Hope the family likes it. It took longer than I thought it would to make.

I can assure you that you don't want my followed the recipe Nutmeg Chicken. It called for 3 tablespoons of nutmeg.
You also don't want my season to taste then simmer for an hour spaghetti sauce unless you have a ton of tomatoes laying around. Or my hockey puck style rolls. I accidentally killed the yeast. However if you want to come on over, plenty of chicken and dumplings left. |

Having a bit of binge buying spree on the Silhouette Design Store (I've got their electronic die cutting machine). It's their birthday and they are having a flash sale where everything is 50% off. I'm planning a crafty Sunday and Monday; I need to make some birthday cards, get started on the Christmas cards and make a bunch of paper houses. The latter one was initially intended for the store window, but my mother wants some for Christmas decorations in the living room and my sister also wants a bunch for in her new apartment. And if I have time I want to make a mixed media page.

Just made a birthday card for a friend. I used my Silhouette (electronic die cutting machine) and I feel a bit like cheating. I always feel like I cheat when making a card I either use my Silhouette or when I make a simple card. It's silly because most people don't even know I hand made their card, they, hopefully, like it that I took the effort the send a card instead of just congratulating them on Facebook. And those that know I hand make my cards will like the gesture, no matter how simple or elaborate I make them.
On the plus side I did, finally, use some pretty paper I have been hoarding. I love pretty papers, especially those that have autumn colours or have a travel theme. But I find it hard to make myself use them. It's easier when I use them in a scrapbook or Project Life lay-out, because I can enjoy them, than using them in cards. |

I just gave Sweetpea a can of Fancy Feast Beef Liver. That stuff stinks to high heaven! She loves it though. So I'm immediately switching her to canned food. It should be no problem. She loves canned food. Next week I will go shopping for a smaller litter box with a hood. I no longer have to buy the big 24 pound jug. I can buy 14 pounds instead. Sweetpea lost weight because she would only eat when Maisy did. So now I'm going to fatten her up a bit.
I've already cleaned up Maisy old area she did take up some space in this small apartment. I'm going to miss that grey ball of fur. I cried a little when I open the canned food more out of "only ifs" then anything. I plan to do some light cleaning today. Maisy left her mark literally like a male she sprayed the front door the night before she left. It was the catalyst that let hubby say okay it's time. I bought some advanced enzyme remover. I don't want Sweetpea doing the same. So yes I'm coping in my own way. Sent from my Nexus 7 |

Keeping my fingers crossed.
I love my Silhouette cutting machine, but I have to say that the cutting mat does loose its sticky quickly. I made due with taping down paper for a while, before breaking out one of my Cricut (different brand of cutting machine) mat. I did read online you can reapply sticky to it by first removing the old glue, taping off the edges where you don't want any glue and applying repositionable adhesive spray. But first of all that spray costs between €25 and €30 in the Netherlands, plus you have to apply the spray outside. Last week I read a blog post about someone not using the spray but a broad two-way glue pen. When you use the glue when it's wet it'll be permanent, when you let it dry it will remain sticky and will be repositionable. My craft store sells those broad pens, so I ordered one, cleaned my first mat and just applied a layer glue. No need for going outside or even taping the sides. I'll let it dry for a full day and see how it works. If it doesn't work I can scrub the mat clean and get a spray can of glue and use the glue pen for other projects. If it works the mat will wear out eventually but it's a good way to prolong it's life span. |
