My son mowed the front yard while I was out with a selection of grass whips/weed cutters going after the wisteria along the curb.

Right now we're both "decompressing."

Just sitting here watching the final concert of a Canadian rock group, The Tragically Hip. The lead singer was diagnosed with brain cancer earlier this year, and they have been doing a cross Canada farewell tour.

The national broadcaster, the CBC, is broadcasting the final concert on all their platforms (TV, multiple radio channels, and streaming on the Web) and it's commercial free.

Unfortunately they've not mastered the art of having the TV and radio in sync, TV is about 2 to 3 seconds behind.

No clue on a hole that size. Too big for toothpaste, too little for sheetrock.

Haha! Someone who has no respect for other people's property. It's one thing to destroy your own but breaking something you don't is just wrong especially when they aren't skilled enough to fix it.

I'm gonna get a repair kit from the local hardware store. It's right above my bed. I stuck paper towels in the hole and taped it shut with packing tape and because it's the first thing you see when you walk into the apartment I've got a huge wall calendar over it till I can repair it.

I was sleeping when it happened. Nothing like waking to plaster in your hair and on your bed.

Procrastinating on my next job - spraying weedkiller on my recently jet-washed driveway before I put sand down to fill the gaps between the bricks. The fun never stops...

I've always used wadded up newspaper for big holes, but paper towels should work just as well as a base for the plaster. And a regular hair comb to comb the plaster before it dries to match the rest of the wall's texture.

I have finished fixing errors caused during Windows 10 upgrade. Everything seems to work fine now. Thank God.

Bracing myself for what's coming the next couple of weeks.

Tomorrow is the funeral of my aunt, who died a week ago of a brain tumour.

Tomorrow also our lawyer, notary (solicitor?) and my uncle return from their vacations. In early September the next court hearing about the Family Thing is held and my uncle has been delaying the sharing of the administration he did for my grandmother for years. We're going to try to to delay the court hearing or start proceedings to force him to share them.

My father isn't one to show or discuss his feeling about the Family Thing, but I know that until the hearing is over (or until it's been delayed) I can do nothing right and everything that goes wrong is my fault. It's always been this way, but the Family Thing is been going on for three years now and right before that was the fire next door (he blames me for not waking up sooner), so I'm feeling very apprehensive when one of those extra stressful periods is upon us again.
