Hello, my kobo clara is acting funny. When I switch it on the led light blinks once and then nothing happens. The battery is full. Sometimes it does switch on but it is a lottery. I would like to replace the sd card. Can you guys send me a working image?

Thanks in advance!

I would like the firmware image for a Kobo Libra 2

I have opened it and it has the code +6B0 printed to the left of the soldering of the red battery cable.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much. The PM includes 4 images for Libra 2 but I don't know if I can use any of them, since my version (+6B0) is not among them (maybe it's the first one, called "Kobo N418 Libra 2 image"?)

I can try with one and if it doesn't work with another one, or I risk causing irreparable damage?

Finally, in case it is not indicated to use any of these images, would it make any sense to try to extract an image from my SD and burn it to a new SD? Because I don't know if what is damaged is the content of my SD or the card itself.

I would start with the first image and then if that doesn't work try the others. This won't cause irreparable damage, the most likely result is the battery management won't work and it will complain about the battery being discharged and turn off.

And yes, I would recommend trying to create an image from your existing µSD card. That will preserve your serial number, waveform tables, etc.

So, since that data is important and unique, if I manage to create the image of my µSD I guess I should try writing it to a new card, right?

And if with the new µSD written with my original image the Kobo doesn't work, it would have to be understood that my FW was corrupt, and I will have to keep trying with the images you have provided me.

Correct. I've had some reports where cloning the original card worked and others where triggering a factory reset after cloning the original card worked which I think depends on where the issues with the original µSD card were located. So I think it's worth a try.
