I'm currently planning my next Reading Retreat in January. I think I'll go to the park with the nice, new apartments. They now also have luxury apartments available for 2 people. It's the same as the apartments for 4 I booked previously, but the second bedroom is turned into a sauna. Most of the time the luxury apartments are quite a bit more expensive than the standard apartments. However, in January the price difference for a full week is only €20. I won't be using the sauna much, maybe once or twice, but with only one bedroom there is less chance of my sister inviting herself and furniture is also a bit better and you have a view of the lake.

I like going on vacation mid January. From mid October until mid January it can get chaotic in the store, especially in December. Added bonus is that renting a cottage or appartment is a lot cheaper than at other times of the year.

You sure have been having a run of it recently. Are you sure you didn't accidentally bump God in a crowd or something?

Getting ready to eat a delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs served up by my ex-DIL who's currently staying with us. Yum.

Oh, and speaking of consuming mass quantities, I found the dog's old toilet bowl trainer and filled it up this morning. I think Norton likes it because last night I filled an old Diet Pepsi bottle with water and froze it. This morning I filled it the rest of the way and put the bottle into the tank. Now he has cold water. I haven't seen my grandson's cat drink from it yet.

Thanks. I'm doing much better. The cats didn't get the memo mommy was taking the day off. lol The gallbladder issues started in 1999. I seldom have any problems once I learned what to do by trial and error. Stress can cause a flare up.

My friends are returning from their vacation either tomorrow or Wednesday. Which means that today is cleaning day for me. First I'm doing downstairs, pack the last of my things and then upstairs.

It isn't a big house, but the furniture is big and needs moving around when vaccuuming and mopping. Luca knows something is up and is very clingy today, so I might have to put her in the yard with the door closed when vaccuuming and mopping. With a bit of luck I can be done before noon. Then I have to wait for my father to come pick up my stuff.

On the bright side: this afternoon and evening I'm going to either watch the Olympics or Netflix and it's become a tradition to order take away on cleaning day.

But first: the dishes.

On a short visit to Cape May, right on Beach Ave., and right now I'm rubbing my feet. It's been a bit hectic this year and I've let a few things go, but I'm trying to get back on my walking/exercise/diet routine. And right now, my feet are sore.

We just had a very late dinner. Hubby's foot is doing much better.

The cats are all back to normal. Maisy is gaining weight pretty quickly. I see her back to a healthy weight soon.

I want to thank everyone here for enduring all the sick cat talk these past few weeks. Just having an outlet to voice my concerns about them meant so much to me. I'm not one of those who talks about their pets a lot unless asked. I hope we never have to go through another bout of sickness like that again.

Seeing Maisy was never officially tested for diabetes I'm starting to wonder if the vet diagnosis was incorrect and it was the Iams that caused all these issues since February.

The vomiting has completely stopped after 8 months. It's a miracle.

Planning a vacation, thinking about working in the back room before it gets hot. Already took the dog out.
Debating on whether to make dinner or just have leftovers.
I think I will work around the house since I have about another 11 uninterrupted hours. Hubby is getting a bit of overtime this week.
