I'm about to go to the Ikea. A couple of weeks ago I bought their slippers and they're very comfortable. Since they're only €2 I'm going to get a couple of extra pairs. On the way back I'll go by the grocery store for some fresh breadrolls and cheese.
Luca is feeling very sorry for herself, I think she thinks I'm going to work, since I didn't open the door to the garden after we got back from her morning walk. |

I'm waiting on pizza guy to get here. Having a late dinner. Cats are improving their appetite is almost back to normal. They seem more like themselves now if the litter box would be normal. I'm getting more sleep as they need less and less supervision. They are less cranky too.

A little. Hubby didn't have time to get any food so pizza it is. Papa John's isn't too rich or spicy so I should be okay.

One of the nearby cafés got two or three kittens recently to help fight mice (I assume). Today one of them decided it was time to come inspect our store. In the past we had cats who would chase off any intruders. At first we tried to keep the kitten out, every time she (or he) came in we would pick her up and put her outside. But that didn't work; the kitty is a tiny boomerang of energy.
Eventually we gave up, and kitten-proofed a couple of things. She even managed to work her way underneath the door at the top of the stairs and my mother brought her down again. After a couple of hours of adventuring and lots of cuddles she went away again, probably off to the next open door. |

The cats seem to be doing a lot better. They act like their old selves. Maisy has not gone #2 in almost 48 hours but she has used the litter box to do #1. This is really encouraging.
Sweet pea is using it less and less but she took sick last so it's probably gonna take more time for her. Me. It seems now I'm not in alert and ready mode I'm tired and can't keep my eyes open. So I'm sleeping and sleeping. Hubby remarked that Maisy is gaining weight. I have to agree. Her back no longer has a Quasimodo look to it and her tummy isn't sunken in as much. Sent from my XT1528 |

I hope you feel better soon.
We're keeping an eye on the kittens. That café has, in the past, had several cats and they tended to not feed the (enough), presuming a hungry cat will catch more mice than a well fed one. Which is bulls**t ofcourse. All our cats have been well fed and some weren't interested in mice, others like to play with them until they stopped moving, some left the cadaver as a gift and one ate the whole mouse except the tail, which she would leave as a present. All the previous cats ended up with the owner of another café, so she's also keeping an eye out. After Lexie died recently we decided not to get a new cat. But spending time with a cute, naughty and cuddly kitten might change our minds. |

I've been thinking about trying out yoga. I'm now looking at the yoga section of a sport store website and I think they don't know what yoga is, and if these articles are used in yoga I'm out. Articles found in that section are, besides mats, sportsbras and pilates stuff, boxing gloves, mouth guards and punching balls.

Bugsy was an ardent mouser, and kept several tenants rodent free. But the only time I ever saw him eat one was when he caught it alive, brought it to us to show off his prowess, and it got away from him. That one he ate when he caught it again, in an apparent case of "You won't get away from me this time, you @#$%!. I'm going to eat you!" He bring his catches to us, and my SO would take them and toss them out. She was less than amused when he left a carcass on her pillow while we were away. My SO was unmoved by my explanation "You're his person! He loves you! If he had two dead mice, he'd give you one! In fact, he did!" ![]() He developed a growth on his abdomen. The vet said "Your best guess is he's 14. If he were younger, I'd open him up and investigate. As it is, that might kill him. Give him his favorite treats and lots of affection. When he declines too far, bring him in and I'll euthanize him." We did. A week before we did so, he caught and killed his last mouse. ______ Dennis |

That notion may have broader application. But meanwhile, I don't consider the ability to have fun a "major malfunction". Excessive concern with whether behavior is age-appropriate may be. Go. Play. ______ Dennis |

I'm doing a happy dance! Maisy just used the litter box and it was solid!!!!!!!!
She is celebrating by taking a nap. lol I'd say she is fairly back to normal in all ways now. Next step is getting her sugar under control. Sent from my XT1528 |
