Any chance you'll go to Lauterbrunnen? That used to be my absolute favorite place on the planet to camp!! Come to think of it .... the camp ground was full of Germans.

We don´t know yet, but actually plan to travel to the Italian part of the country, so Lauterbrunnen wouldn´t be on our list. But who knows where roads will lead us...

Bummer. It's the single most gorgeous place .... ever. Every once in a while I am reminded of it. Several years ago I made friends with a young man who was half Flathead Indian and half Swiss. His mother's family (who were Swiss) ran the original Murren cable car. Another one of those strange small world moments for me.

Someone had set us up on a blind date. But he was way (way) too young for me. However, we stayed friends damn near 20 years.

Just finished installing a new version of Ubuntu. I'm a little uneasy running a beta on my main machine, but I need to be able to connect with the university's MS Exchange server, and they just went to version 2007, which doesn't support the WebDav interface that Gnome Evolution 2.24 was using.... More detail than anyone here wanted to know, I imagine.

Anyway, both my university email and private email are now configured and working. Now I just have to get my home wireless working, but that was pretty easy under Ubuntu 8, so I'm not expecting 9 to be any worse. :fingerscrossed:

Fiddling with the college website to see if I can move data from one data structure to another (more stable and better supported) data structure....

i don't know how they do it, but everything sounds better with hugo and lefty.
