Four hours is the safe limit on the fridge. Freezer was full so other than some soft ice cream and soggy pizza I think everything else will be okay. I did not open the doors at all. This isn't the first time I've had to deal with this. Everything was still pretty frozen. The fridge I have no way of telling. I told hubby no more buying a lot of food. This is the second time this has happened.

At least not during storm season.
If your freezer is anything like mine, it would take a week for anything to thaw.

No it's not that good. It's a pretty good size for a standard fridge but it's still just a basic white freezer on top refrigerator. I just had a frozen sandwich from it and quality has definitely been affected. Internet is still down. I'm having withdrawals.

It'll let you know when you've gone beyond the safe zone. We start chucking (milk, meat, leftovers) when the temp hits about 10 degrees C, but others have higher or lower limits.

Bummer. I just restocked the freezer in our garage. It had been getting quite bare and now it's almost full. I hope what happened to St Louis isn't an omen for Tidewater!

I'd never heard of a "gustnado" either, but it doesn't sound pleasant.

I'm trying to convince hubby that the freezer foods are okay. He's not buying it. He was at work when it all happened. Internet is still down. You can't get ahold of a live person.

A gustnado is also known as a micro burst.
Last week a Walmart and a grocery store were both closed for nearly 24 hours due to power poles being blown over. A couple of them hit the street.

Blossom has my complete sympathy. I know what she went through.

It's been 24 hours no internet. I had to bargain my chocolate for use of hubby's phone. I'm a addict I admit it. Yes I'm starting to get major withdrawals. This is the longest I've gone without internet. I keep hoping the paycheck shows up because as soon as it does I'm going to Walmart and buying myself a phone card so I can use my phone and check my apps.
