In my mug, the last tea of the day. In my cup, some "pumpkin" ice cream.

Now, I love almost everything about pumpkins. I love the way they look in an autumn field, with corn shocks and field stubble. I like the way they look when they're piled up in front of a small farm stand. But, I don't really like the taste.

Fortunately, the ice cream really didn't taste like pumpkins. It mostly tasted like nutmeg and cinnamon. It was pretty good.

Basil Hayden's Dark Rye. Maybe a touch too much port in the mix, but still quite tasty. Preceded by a "Cryo Self to Sleep" IPA by the Brink Brewing Company.

Pumpkin ice cream is one of my all time favourites. And completely unheard of in Canada, from all I can tell.

(My home-cured bacon, my DW's rustic Italian bread, my lettuce and nearly the last of my tomatoes. But I did cheat -- the mayo was Hellmann's.)
