![]() But glad to see that you're still fully 'catted' - have fun with the Demon Spawn kitten -- they DO have endless energy. Does Bishop play at all with her? |

Bishop practically raised her. We had to keep her in quarantine until she was old enough to test for FeLV, but once she came back negative for that, she had the run of the house. Sinatra was still with us for the beginning of that, and he just ignored her (since he didn't feel good anyway most of the time), but Bishop adopted her. I'm surprised she had any fur left, he groomed her every time we touched her. Play? Oh yes. They sound like a Viking horde running through here. It is amazing what kind of noise an 18 lb. cat and a 3 lb. kitten can make, and now that she's mostly grown, it's even worse. He still holds her down and bathes her a few times a day, and she just purrs and lets him. Demon Spawn's actual name is Trixie-Belle, but she never gets called that. After going from two cats who didn't care for toys, having two that love them has been odd - we have caches of toys all over the house. Trixie likes to burrow and bury things. I find a cache of her toys in my bed every night. She's also a thief. If it's shiny, and I leave it out, she will steal it. Especially my hair clips.

Preparing a light meal, prior to visiting my oldest friend,
who has just lost his brother. A sad occasion,as his brother was several years younger than him, but life can be like that! |

Good Morning to all of you.
I have learned how to create the Collections in H2O using Calibre. So deleted all my side-loaded files from H2O and started side-loading the books again. This is taking long to copy the books. Also the processing of e-books database on H2O is very slow and a PIA. While this is going on, happened to see this post and though why not. Hence this ramble. Have a nice weekend. |

Went to Henley in Arden today in honour of Shakespeare's birthday. We had planned to go to Stratford, but it was just too manic there today.

Looking to see if the Globe Theatre was doing anything special for Shakespeare's birthday.
Nope. Just Fiddler on the Roof. Our local college has on its grounds, an authentic replica of the Globe Theatre. Not sure which came first. The theatre or the college. Also cooking dinner. |

Just got inside after reading on the back deck. It was beautiful in the sun, but the breezes have become winds.
Sorry to hear that. Good luck to your friend, his family, and you. |

timebug sorry to hear about your friends loss. :'(
Right now I am here to try to find where to learn how to use Calibre to listen to audio books on a Nook. I am feeling so stoooopppiiiiddd. I do not even know what flavor my Nook is or how to find out. Bought it new a couple of years ago. I think it is HD. And then of course as soon as I got Calibre D/L my battery needed charging. So that is happening right now. I would love a point to a real simple to understand newbie thread on how to find and use the FBCalibre. I did D/L it to the nook but find no reference to it other that where I d/l it from said it was successfully installed and compatable with my device. I have many audio books saved on my external drive and have been using the music app to listen to them but it does not book mark as I have to stop and start again so I have to write down the numbers. Friend said the Calibre would be great for me. Thanks so much for any direction for me. Shades |

Put out the squirrel food for tomorrow ... we have 3 pair of semi-resident gray squirrels that eat here every day: Mr. & Mrs. Stumpy [Mrs. lacks a tail], Finn & Haddie, and Chip & Dale. We're serving corn on the cob, sunflower seeds, and squirrel mix. They're getting used to me - so I'm trying to get a photo of Mrs. Stumpy on the corn cob feeder to post here.
The finches have deserted us .... so I'm trying to attract cardinals and larger birds with sunflower seeds in the feeders & on the ground. We also have a semi-resident flock of 4 huge crows. They scare the bejeezus out of Stella cat when they flap in! |
