While I was taking my afternoon nap, we experienced a home invasion via forced entry. When Norton and I awoke and went to the living room, there was a large orange cat in the house. We'd seen the cat before; my wife had nicknamed it Thomas O'Malley the Alley Cat. It had been circling the house for days hoping to get a shot at Friday, my grandson's perpetually in heat slut of a cat. Norton didn't give chase, but as Thomas is roughly the size of a bobcat, I don't blame him. Thomas had evidently gained access through a window that was open far more than it was when I had gone to sleep. I didn't think the cat could raise it by himself, but I guess I was wrong. The screens on our windows are already up as we anticipated he would destroy them if they weren't since he's always getting up in our windows (he's a Peeping Thomas), but this we didn't see coming.

Wow!! I thought you were going to say he came in through the cat flap. Opening his own windows --- that's some cat! Given his size, it makes sense that he is able to do that, I guess. Just - wow!

I left the window open enough for him to get his paws through, but he must have raised it up further himself. Either that, or he had a feline accomplice on the inside helping him. 😨

I imagine he used his head and then his back. My cat opens doors by pushing her wedge shaped head in. Pretty thick skulls, apparently!

Two things right today.

Car repair - $70 instead of $198!

ITouch failed last night, an hour AFTER backing up to computer and cloud. STILL under warranty! New one will arrive next Wednesday, well before I absolutely need those multiple timers again! If something has to fail, this was a CONVENIENT fail!

Right now? Had chicken for dinner and gave the cat enough chicken that she didn't want ANY MORE! I have filled a cat!

My Monday is what I expect Saturday is for most people (my weekend is Sunday and Monday). It's the day when I do all the things that need to be done. I went to the bank, it's also my day for cooking so I had to go to the supermarket. Several people I know celebrate their birthday this week or next week, so I made a bunch of birthday cards. I've paid several monthly bills and transferred some money to my prepaid credit card so I can finally buy a couple of books from Amazon and I've contacted my local craft store to ask if they can order two stamp and die sets for me.

Now I'm waiting for my tea to steep and then it's time to start catching up on some tv series I'm part way through a season.

I just discovered that GOG.com sells the game Starship Titanic! For less than €5, so I couldn't resist. I spend a lot of hours playing that game and never finishing it. I won't get bored today or tomorrow.
