So, I got out my floor mat to do my daily stretches ... and Sammie cat got on her scratching box to stretch along with me, and then Goldie cat got on her scratching box to join the stretches. The cats frequently join me on the floor for stretches or other exercises .....

Although the vacation was really really nice it's good to be able to sleep in my own big bed. Those vacation parks always try to pass off to single beds pushed together for a double. I am missing the central heating, being able to use the toilet without feeling as if your bum is freezing off is very nice.

I didn't photo journal much last year, I only wanted to document the special things; vacations, days out, the Tour de France. But I got stuck on the Tour.

I now have a new phone with a great camera, so I want to pick up (almost) weekly photo journalling again. I'm now designing the front page and hopefully I can finish the finish up to yesterday (when my vacation ended) this week. When I get back in a rhythm I'm going to tackle last year.

I'm loving it again, it's very different from making cards and hopefully this year I can find a creative balance between the two.

Eating a free bag of Aged White Cheddar Pirate's Booty (rice and corn puffs). The hospital snack lady just came by and offered the caregivers some freebies.

Opening the kitchen blinds so the dog can get some sunshine. Also gonna wash the dishes while the clothes are drying.

Nothing here yet, except for dark, overcast skies. The biggest problem with a blizzard is the wind -- my seat and table (and the garbage and recycling cans) have been moved into the garage.

Whew! Ventured outside today - and discovered we have 3-4" of solid sleet pellets with a ice crust - that you can't crack with a shovel - it's bonded to the surface of the driveway. I managed to crack off the stuff covering the back steps and refill the birdfeeder (I think ours is the only feeder available - we're getting flocks of birds!) and spread a layer on top of the snow/sleet.
There's nothing to be done until the sun reappears and softens this stuff up - you can't move it!

It was like a freight train this morning. The wind died down a while ago and the snow seems to be tapering off. Hang in there!
